Non Marxist? In what way?

2020-11-17 17:41:58 UTC

peter kropotkin and emma goldman are essentially the founders

2020-11-17 17:43:01 UTC

Ah anti social class and capitalism?

2020-11-17 17:43:13 UTC

anti capitalism

2020-11-17 17:43:19 UTC

it worked in catalonia

2020-11-17 17:43:40 UTC

depending on the city ofc

2020-11-17 17:43:47 UTC

other cities there were syndicalist

2020-11-17 17:43:52 UTC

That sits fine by me. I'm interested in seeing if UBI would work.

2020-11-17 17:44:04 UTC

ubi wouldn't

2020-11-17 17:44:23 UTC

communism that is decentralized would be the future of humanity imo

2020-11-17 17:44:29 UTC

change would come gradually

2020-11-17 17:44:38 UTC

anti-authoritarian communism

2020-11-17 17:45:20 UTC

Possibly yes. I notice most science fiction stories depict a kind of Socialist utopia or dystopia. Likely not a coincidence.

2020-11-17 17:45:57 UTC

the individual, not the state is where power should be vested in

2020-11-17 17:46:29 UTC

Future technology makes what seems improbable now more likely

2020-11-17 17:46:48 UTC

the transitionary stage would be free-market socialism without rulers

2020-11-17 17:47:05 UTC

A nanotech assembler in each household that could make almost anything needed just input raw materials

2020-11-17 17:47:09 UTC

As an example

2020-11-17 17:47:18 UTC

personal property aka property that does not exploit others, would stay yours

2020-11-17 17:47:24 UTC

aka your house would stay yours

2020-11-17 17:47:28 UTC

Mmhmm

2020-11-17 17:48:19 UTC

the goal would be to promote freedom and equality in all spheres of human existence

2020-11-17 17:50:46 UTC

marx

2020-11-17 17:50:48 UTC

's

2020-11-17 17:50:54 UTC

communism is authoritarian

2020-11-17 17:54:19 UTC

Yahs I have a problem with authoritarianism.

2020-11-17 17:54:41 UTC

And social hierarchy

2020-11-17 18:09:20 UTC

The soviet union and china show the failures of Marxism

2020-11-17 18:44:55 UTC

> The soviet union and china show the failures of Marxism
@eh Ⓐ Agreed

2020-11-17 20:50:49 UTC

> @Mine Excadrill ancaps are not anarchist
@eh Ⓐ I firstly want to say I'm not anarchist at all, but in my personal opinion ancaps are more anarchist than anarcho communists. Because in order to have communism you must have a state to control the distribution of wealth and the production of goods. In an anarcho-communist system well there is no government so what government will control the production?

@President-Elect bhcowboy the state is not needed for communism

2020-11-17 20:51:22 UTC

eg your family is a commune

2020-11-17 20:51:34 UTC

is the state in your family?

2020-11-17 20:51:38 UTC

But you can't have wide spread communism

2020-11-17 20:51:48 UTC

communes should be decentralized

2020-11-17 20:52:14 UTC

I see your point but it still necessarily isn't communism

2020-11-17 20:52:35 UTC

Communism must have a state.

2020-11-17 20:52:37 UTC

anarchism was first used to describe libertarian socialism

2020-11-17 20:53:01 UTC

But still communism must have a state

2020-11-17 20:53:09 UTC

Karl Marx would agree

2020-11-17 20:53:16 UTC

Anyway I have to go
