in order to get actual, accurate, local listings you have to physically be in an area & get local quotes from people

2018-12-07 08:09:45 UTC

there must be some place where I can get a general idea

2018-12-07 08:09:46 UTC

craigslist is a decent approximation, but I wouldn't accept it as accurate unless you can get actual home sellers on the phone who are personally selling their properties without realtors

2018-12-07 08:09:57 UTC

okay I found a ReMax website with actual agents listed

2018-12-07 08:10:00 UTC

these prices can't be too fake

2018-12-07 08:10:16 UTC

assume >=10% buff on all prices

2018-12-07 08:10:25 UTC

unless its a heavily depressed area

2018-12-07 08:10:36 UTC

I could have bought this if I sold my crypto

2018-12-07 08:10:38 UTC

aaaaaaaaaaaa

2018-12-07 08:10:39 UTC

and by heavily I mean heavily heavily depressed real estate market

2018-12-07 08:10:51 UTC

$16,000

2018-12-07 08:10:58 UTC

>poland

2018-12-07 08:10:59 UTC

y tho

2018-12-07 08:11:27 UTC

eh I don't wanna spam the server with that discussion again

2018-12-07 08:12:15 UTC

>no [against server rules] rights
🤔

2018-12-07 08:12:48 UTC

At least I don't have see any [against server rules] loitering outside my door

2018-12-07 08:13:14 UTC

just play classical music outside your door to route [against server rules] undesirables

2018-12-07 08:13:41 UTC

dude I could have bought this house though

2018-12-07 08:13:53 UTC

if only retard me sold my digital Chuck E Cheese tokens

2018-12-07 08:14:31 UTC

but think - what good would it have done you? assuming you get around national regulations & buy it - how are you going to pay property taxes? how are you going to pay to visit it yearly for it to be worth your time to own?

2018-12-07 08:14:55 UTC

if its for business it makes sense, otherwise I think buying something like that is a very dumb idea

2018-12-07 08:15:07 UTC

well established business*

2018-12-07 08:15:58 UTC

I wouldn't have to get around national regulations because I'm a (((dual citizen)))

2018-12-07 08:16:14 UTC

🤔 an Israeli is amongst us

2018-12-07 08:16:24 UTC

xD

2018-12-07 08:16:35 UTC

I'd just move into it and find some job

2018-12-07 08:16:41 UTC

I wouldn't have to pay rent so whatever

2018-12-07 08:17:54 UTC

can you speak polish? are you familiar with polish laws? trust me - my dad worked for a company in Slovakia & relocated due specifically as a result of work. unless you have work secured & an expat community to link into beforehand its not worth it.

2018-12-07 08:18:07 UTC

Youll be atomized & homesick in a month or less

2018-12-07 08:18:42 UTC

growing up in slovakia I was homesick for the US even though I knew plenty of American expats & went to an international English speaking school

2018-12-07 08:19:30 UTC

with a move like that too its real expensive to move back

2018-12-07 08:20:38 UTC

every time I try getting feedback on my Polish pronunciation I get accused of being a regular Polish guy trolling

2018-12-07 08:20:49 UTC

lmao

2018-12-07 08:21:10 UTC

I wouldn't say I'm familiar with the laws but I'm not exactly a legal expert in the US either

2018-12-07 08:21:10 UTC

best way to gauge your actual desire to fit into the country is to be there for 3 - 6 months

2018-12-07 08:21:18 UTC

well

2018-12-07 08:21:24 UTC

I've been there for 2 month at a time

2018-12-07 08:21:32 UTC

which is admittedly not a lot

2018-12-07 08:21:41 UTC

idk thats a good bit of time

2018-12-07 08:21:54 UTC

thats more time than most movers spend in an area before moving there
