2020-09-06 18:16:13 UTC

2020-09-06 18:16:41 UTC

Dank... I have legit 800tb of HDD's and another 1,200 TB of back ups

2020-09-06 18:16:53 UTC

2tb or less, or 4tb or higher...never buy the 3tb's

2020-09-06 18:17:14 UTC

lol.... 4 tb..... I think the smalles HDD I have is 8

2020-09-06 18:17:14 UTC

Geez, you guys are prepared

2020-09-06 18:17:27 UTC

I only have a 1 tb

2020-09-06 18:17:37 UTC

I run my own business with 3 remaining branches out of 4.... 1 got burned to the ground in Minneapolis

2020-09-06 18:17:38 UTC

Then again, I’m only 19

2020-09-06 18:17:44 UTC

Yikes

2020-09-06 18:18:00 UTC

note to self - get knotty to give away old hdds when knotty goes thru an upgrade phase

2020-09-06 18:18:06 UTC

lol

2020-09-06 18:18:12 UTC

preferably to me

2020-09-06 18:18:25 UTC

The current computer I am working on is the "tiny" rig....

2020-09-06 18:18:59 UTC

my current pc has 7-9yr old tech in it

2020-09-06 18:19:00 UTC

I have 6 computers all around my office that I had to throw together at a cabin in Knife River MN that I bought for my parents

2020-09-06 18:19:23 UTC

I upgrade all 6 computers with yearly overhauls

2020-09-06 18:20:01 UTC

I only have one computer because I’m young and poor, but I only need one for my job and hobbies

2020-09-06 18:20:02 UTC

The "big" rig has 3 RTX titans in it, and is meant for 8k rendering of 3d models

2020-09-06 18:20:33 UTC

Evenlyn never feel bad about what hardware you have

2020-09-06 18:20:47 UTC

got a few bins for old parts out back.....mostly scrap stuff

2020-09-06 18:20:48 UTC

when it comes to PC only 1 thing matters, and that is saying "I built it myself"

2020-09-06 18:21:10 UTC

I love my computer even though the screen is busted and my favorite program decided to stop working

2020-09-06 18:21:16 UTC

if you can say that truthfully you have earned my respect πŸ™‚

2020-09-06 18:21:19 UTC

anything considered too old for me to use, my bro converts into media boxes

2020-09-06 18:21:33 UTC

I’m better at software than hardware

2020-09-06 18:21:44 UTC

and anything too old for him to use, becomes scrap

2020-09-06 18:21:58 UTC

I accidentally fried my old phone when attempting to replace the screen, so....

2020-09-06 18:21:59 UTC

I love PC building πŸ™‚ I do it as a "fun" side gig πŸ™‚

2020-09-06 18:22:22 UTC

how in the hell can u fry ur phone with a screen replacement

2020-09-06 18:22:22 UTC

I have a lot of friends who do that and I’m intrigued every time they talk about it

2020-09-06 18:22:26 UTC

I make custom PC cases by hand, and usually just charge material costs πŸ™‚

2020-09-06 18:22:33 UTC

I forgot to disconnect the battery

2020-09-06 18:23:07 UTC

At least I’m assuming that was the cause because it would never turn back on again

2020-09-06 18:23:46 UTC

And the last time I replaced a phone screen I disconnected the battery and it worked just fine when I reconnected it

2020-09-06 18:25:00 UTC

My gaming pc is the one I am on right now, I also do a fair bit of professional stuff on it, but it has the Ryzen 9 3900X 32GB 3600-DDR4 ram, 2 x 2tb M.2, 4 4tb SSD, 3 12TB HDD, a RTX 2080ti, and custom water cooling loops with full custom case that I made πŸ˜„

2020-09-06 18:25:45 UTC

it is for gaming and media storage πŸ™‚

2020-09-06 18:25:57 UTC

lots of family pictures, videos, and such

2020-09-06 18:26:16 UTC

what sucks is that the memes were on the 2 M.2 drives that were wiped

2020-09-06 18:26:36 UTC

the rest of the drives were fine, but a few files were corrupted on the M.2's
