i think voter rights should be restricted to those that pass a course in civics

2020-07-14 20:57:37 UTC

too many idiots and fools voting with no understanding of civics

2020-07-14 20:57:42 UTC

if the voting age goes up too 21, then people shouldnt be considered legal adults at 18, enlistment age needs to be increased to 21, and we have to figure out what people can do after those 3 years after high school before theyre considered adults

2020-07-14 20:57:45 UTC

I also think voting rights should be limited to those with skin in the game... actual taxpayers

2020-07-14 20:58:07 UTC

> our brains aren't fully developed until 25
Physically, really. In terms of thought process, then well........ *cough* Liberals *cough*

2020-07-14 20:58:17 UTC

Lol

2020-07-14 20:58:20 UTC

wardog, driving age also goes up to 21

2020-07-14 20:58:29 UTC

@Wardog, we may need to make some changes. Young folks are damn stupid (in general)

2020-07-14 20:58:33 UTC

i don't think liberals brains ever fully develop

2020-07-14 20:58:45 UTC

it's like they're stuck in middle school

2020-07-14 20:59:00 UTC

@Deleted User great point. that would be really fucking detrimental.

2020-07-14 20:59:16 UTC

remember the show - are u smarter than a 5th grader

2020-07-14 20:59:28 UTC

theres enough complaints about how the old career politicians have so much say over the people they are so disconnected from, why should we make the gap even wider...?

2020-07-14 20:59:35 UTC

new show should come out - are u dumber than a liberal

2020-07-14 20:59:42 UTC

Perhaps if you CHOOSE to enter the military at 18, they will immediately get voting rights

2020-07-14 20:59:55 UTC

what if you cant enter the military?

2020-07-14 20:59:58 UTC

not everyone is cut out for it either

2020-07-14 21:00:04 UTC

Hey y’all, I have to get back to work, see y’all later

2020-07-14 21:00:09 UTC

selective service starts at 16

2020-07-14 21:00:19 UTC

@Wardog, not everyone gets a pony either

2020-07-14 21:00:36 UTC

theres a great satirical movie about forcing people to do military service to obtain citizenship

2020-07-14 21:00:41 UTC

its called Starship Troopers.

2020-07-14 21:00:48 UTC

when i was in school, they used to have military fitness standards for physed

2020-07-14 21:01:25 UTC

20% of the people that go to Parris Island dont make it through boot camp. 1/5 people that thought they could. If the people that trained hard for it still dotn always make the cut, then how can we say that the 99%+ of people who dont even want to try can make it?

2020-07-14 21:01:29 UTC

shoudl we lower standards?

2020-07-14 21:02:21 UTC

wardog, if we were at starship troopers citizenship...there would be almost nobody voting democrat, because all the liberals would refuse to join the military

2020-07-14 21:03:08 UTC

yeah, but the whole entire premise of Starship Troopers is to satirize that line of thinking, and to show why its goofy. I think humanity would be better off and a lot less shitty if that was reality, but its just not going ot happen.

2020-07-14 21:03:32 UTC

also all the liberals would be forced to do shitty jobs because only citizens get the good jobs and good education unless their families are loaded

2020-07-14 21:04:10 UTC

also only citizens get reproductive rights...which would make the liberal happy anyway...they're all for abortion

2020-07-14 21:04:26 UTC

and with this required military service, i guess disabled people dont get voting rights? im not talking about just mentally handicapped people with ADD and ADHD or something like that, but what about people who are bound to a wheelchair for life? they wont get the right to vote.

2020-07-14 21:04:59 UTC

ive always wnated to join the military. parents are air force vets, brother in army. i wouldnt be allowed in medically though

2020-07-14 21:05:02 UTC

the cartoon series was better than the 3 movies....first movie was decent...the other 2...got kinda goofy/biblical

2020-07-14 21:05:41 UTC

almost everybody in my family and extended family joined the military

2020-07-14 21:06:02 UTC

its not just liberals that cant server/wouldnt make the cut... there are plenty of very conservative, hyper patriotic, red blooded Americans who cant make the cut either. and i dont think theyre bad people or shitty people because of that.

2020-07-14 21:06:11 UTC

i dont think they shouldnt be allowed to vote either

2020-07-14 21:06:16 UTC

one nephew couldn't make it thru boot camp so it was the end of the family's drive for military background in the bloodline

2020-07-14 21:07:06 UTC

my Grandfather on my Mother's side, and one of my Uncles on my Mother's side served. Grandfather was a Marine in WW2. Uncle was Army in Vietnam, Desert Storm, Korea.

2020-07-14 21:10:00 UTC

dad and uncles in ww2

2020-07-14 21:10:10 UTC

2020-07-14 21:10:34 UTC

me and other bros got out before desert storm

2020-07-14 21:10:54 UTC

military got kinda fucked up at that point
