You can buy rifles at 18 I believe.

2020-11-19 03:00:53 UTC

Pistols at 21

2020-11-19 03:00:53 UTC

I know

2020-11-19 03:01:12 UTC

I'm also saving all my pay checks

2020-11-19 03:01:44 UTC

Not sure where y’all live but round here we all have guns

I live in Maine so we have similar gun laws

2020-11-19 03:02:24 UTC

Have to 21 for a pistol. That’s about the only restriction

2020-11-19 03:02:28 UTC

You see? This is what I'm talking about. Pistols at 21 but rifles at 18? This is absolute insane. Be consistent, damn it. Equalize the age criteria for all types of firearm and lower it to at least by 16, and give them the proper discipline. Start from small, around 5 with toy firearms, then when the dude is 16, help him or her manage the real deal.

2020-11-19 03:02:41 UTC

No permit conceal carry is ok here too 😉

2020-11-19 03:02:46 UTC

Pistol restrictions make some kind of sense in how they're argued

2020-11-19 03:02:53 UTC

I only wish we had a better castle doctrine law tho

2020-11-19 03:02:55 UTC

I don't support them, but they make sense

2020-11-19 03:03:11 UTC

The big concern is concealability.

2020-11-19 03:03:19 UTC

Kids don’t need pistols period

2020-11-19 03:03:22 UTC

in my opinion have one adult age

2020-11-19 03:03:35 UTC

Want to get married? 16 or 21

2020-11-19 03:03:36 UTC

Well they shouldn't be there. There are a variety of pistols out there that I'm sure are reasonably appropriate for an 18 year old to handle.

2020-11-19 03:03:49 UTC

want alcohol? 16 or 21

2020-11-19 03:03:58 UTC

I mean the ideal solution is just mandating Firearm safety and knowledge in a couple of courses to be taught in schools

2020-11-19 03:04:00 UTC

want to buy guns? 16 or 21

2020-11-19 03:04:12 UTC

@Smash Boy handling it isn’t the issue. More sneaking it into a school is

2020-11-19 03:04:13 UTC

want to vote?

2020-11-19 03:04:15 UTC

16

2020-11-19 03:04:17 UTC

or

2020-11-19 03:04:17 UTC

21

2020-11-19 03:04:39 UTC

Alcohol is different than firearm. Alcohol has some health risks involved that are reasonable for some age restrictions. But firearm? You have a moral right to bear one.

2020-11-19 03:04:39 UTC

just have one age

2020-11-19 03:05:13 UTC

its a civil right

2020-11-19 03:05:46 UTC

We live in country of laws and they’re always changing. You used to be able to drink alcohol on military bases before 21. That’s gone now too.

2020-11-19 03:05:53 UTC

lucky bastards

2020-11-19 03:05:55 UTC

I've owned guns my entire life my grandpa bought me a .410 when I was born learned how to shoot at 6 or 7

2020-11-19 03:06:13 UTC

so its kind of hard to say to a law abiding citizen that they cant have certain rights because reasons

2020-11-19 03:06:19 UTC

I mean sure, but that's a matter of private institution policy, which is in their right to do. Some institutions allow for an open carry pistol while others want it concealed carry. To be honest, schools should allow firearms, the biggest mistake a school can make is to have all people there disarmed and in serious danger from murderers.

2020-11-19 03:06:20 UTC

That’s bc you’re privileged @PRIVILEGED N.P.C.

2020-11-19 03:06:21 UTC

My son has had guns since he was born

2020-11-19 03:06:27 UTC

😉

2020-11-19 03:06:36 UTC

i cant even get a crossbow smh

2020-11-19 03:07:03 UTC

Stop breaking the law asshole-liar liar

2020-11-19 03:07:09 UTC

Heck you even have a moral right to keep and bear a samurai katana.

2020-11-19 03:07:11 UTC

I know my dads friend had a policy with his kids with guns

2020-11-19 03:07:32 UTC

Get a muzzle loader I think you can get one at 16
