Even basing predictions around Mayor/Governor turnouts isn't super reliable anymore.
A lot of surveying of Union Democrats/Blue collar workers that vote for Democrats Locally are favoring Trump and Republicans on a National level because of how well the economy did.
On top of that, different polling groups have come to admit flat out that they can't accurately track Trump's Voter base for many reasons, but one likely reason is that they flat out refuse to participate in polling.

On Arkayde's proposal: I actually like this solution, but not as a whole solution rather as a part.
I'd like to see less regulations across the board on Healthcare. At one point it was made illegal to purchase healthcare from across state lines. I do not know if this is still a thing, but if it is, that is number 1 something that I'd like to see taken down.
There's also all sorts of issues like different state's interpretations of medical practices. My memory on this topic is foggy but I remember reading in one state that Tanning Salons were treated differently in some states for reasons pertaining to medical training or something thereof. I'd have to do some research

I don't think Masks are completely pointless. The studies are conflicting. At the very least it's minimizing the amount of particles that are exiting your mouth while you speak/breathe. Do I think they're slowing the spread? Not nearly as much as to warrant a mandate.
They do something. They do what I said, specifically minimizing spittle and particulates escaping your mouth when you speak or breathe open mouthed. There's a reason surgeons wear them.
