Not that I want one

2020-12-11 13:24:40 UTC

I suppose you aren't aware that it is not 39 states that are siding with Texas, but 39 states have picked a side. 20 states and 3 territories have joined the 4 states being sued by Texas, as in they are openly defending corruption and fraud! https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/12/breaking-now-democrat-attorneys-general-align-pennsylvania-michigan-wisconsin-georgia-nearly-every-state-picked-sides/

2020-12-11 19:59:03 UTC

21 states have sided with Texas, 24 states and 3 territories (who dont have a legal pot to piss in) have sided against texas.

2020-12-11 20:02:06 UTC

So are we losing?

2020-12-11 20:18:57 UTC

Imagine if these blue states decide to secede and these red states just embargo all transport of goods between the two sides. lol.

2020-12-11 20:19:48 UTC

The blue states can't cook

2020-12-11 20:19:55 UTC

They cook in da microwave

2020-12-11 20:51:15 UTC

The number of states is irrelevant really

2020-12-11 20:51:26 UTC

Its PR only

2020-12-12 04:47:59 UTC

the supreme court turned down the case

2020-12-12 04:48:09 UTC

says "states can how elections how they want" and stuff like that

2020-12-12 04:48:19 UTC

That is a pretty stupid rule

2020-12-12 04:48:44 UTC

If we are a unified nation, why do we all have seperate rules for running the presidental election?

2020-12-12 04:49:46 UTC

We honestly need an amendment to the constitution saying that all states participating in presidental elections, or anything federal where all states participate (excluding house, senate, and local races) must use a predetermined set of rules, so there are no more of these controversies ever again

2020-12-12 04:50:00 UTC

If anyone proposed that, no matter the party, I would vote for them

2020-12-12 04:50:05 UTC

I don't want to deal with this garbage

2020-12-12 05:59:32 UTC

Elections are performed by the states. We don't want to open a can of worms with that. Interestingly, most have forgotten that the SCOTUS threw out a multi state suit led by Oklahoma and Nebraska against Colorado's weed legalization. Hearing the case would violate state sovereignty among themselves, and thus the suit was thrown out. This current ruling is within perfect legal precedence

2020-12-12 06:00:07 UTC

There are solutions, namely actually enforcing the laws we have. 99.99% of the time that covers the "need for new laws"

2020-12-12 08:07:39 UTC

The current ruling is not in the same category as Colorado's weed legalization. WI, PA, MI, and GA all violated their own state constitutions, as well as the federal constitution by making laws without state legislation. That is the argument.

2020-12-12 14:21:59 UTC

I heard something about Texas trying to secede from the Union can anyone confirm this?

2020-12-12 16:29:25 UTC

Ah shit

2020-12-12 16:29:39 UTC

I'm in the part of Texas slated to become part of Mexico in that map up there

2020-12-12 16:37:08 UTC

texas is trying to form a loyalist union to the constitution, so no, not secede..but every state not with texas technically would be criminally seceding

2020-12-12 16:48:33 UTC

Yeah, and "defund the police" doesn't mean " defund the police."

2020-12-12 16:51:53 UTC

can someone please provide a new link or reference for this information about the Texas Union? Thank you

2020-12-12 22:00:14 UTC

Epico

2020-12-12 23:22:13 UTC

That just fills me with hope tbh

2020-12-13 01:29:46 UTC

Why do I have this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach though? Like this is only tip of the iceberg?

2020-12-13 01:51:36 UTC

Cause it is tbh

2020-12-13 01:52:24 UTC

I hope that nothing extreme happens the second I sign my papers for the National Guard.

2020-12-13 01:52:30 UTC

Does anyone know what seceding from the Union would entail if Texas were to actually do it?

2020-12-13 01:52:37 UTC

I know....I've been checking the rounds in my magazines and the locks on my door.

2020-12-13 01:52:43 UTC

I live in TX so it's quite important to know

2020-12-13 01:59:21 UTC

Uh, maybe military intervention? I’m interested to see what Texarkana looks like after that, being a border town and all.
