What made you quit?
I had: financial problems, shoulder injury and a troubled situation to solve.
I think I will get back to Brazil Jiu-Jitsu in 2020.
Also I didn’t like something about karate
My training of bunkai to be precise
I want to train realistically.
I didn’t like how bunkais where treated in my dojo.
@Salsacookies Doesn't sound too much like high hopes.
Ah, i want to get into martial arts by the end of the year, but it seems that there are alot of "mall ninja" studios so yea, don't want to waist my time doing stupid shit
I supposedly found a legit dojo in my area where the dude trained in Japan
But IDK
@LPA FreeNeko (Hermit's Youth)🇺🇸 a little part of the solo made me think of High Hopes
He apparently has an endorsement from one of Japan's school masters but
How would you verify that
Lol
Holy shit guys The violence is rising
Didn't Japan have a natural disaster recently? Also it's crazy that I was talking just yesterday about working conditions in the anime industry
Working conditions in Japan in general are rough
Yeah, And I have been wondering where the final line is when it comes to that
Like, how much would people take before it's too much? Even in a country that is the most conformist in the world imo, there should be a threshold somewhere
They usually kill themselves not others, so the issue gets ignored
Right
But damn, thats sad
Yeah...
Also sad that so many people, including men, have committed suicide without anyone batting an eye. Especially when it comes to men....
I find it werid how they are subtlety linking the hikkomory to them
Or however thats spelt
Were disposable in this world
That's just how we are seen sadly
@Mr.Black
It depends on what you are searching for.
The fundamental tool for fighting are fists.
So you could enroll in a pre pugilistic course.
You would build the strength and the coordination needed to fight.
Get fucked Japan, you can only restrict base human nature so strongly and extort corporate employees for so long.
Also ground fighting gives you big advantage in 1vs1. Also if you happen to fall, you can get back to your feet safely.
@ResolvingParadox13
Japan is doomed, because their lifestyle leads to mental health issues that go unchecked, as the “shōganai” philosophy is national dogma.
Ah i never thought too hard of ground combat other then holds tbh
I guess it makes sense that you would want to build the coordination needed to get back up if shit goes down
@Mr.Black
Also, if you tackle someone and make him fall, he’s at your mercy if he doesn’t know ground stuff.
I've been in a groundhold after confronting a wrestler kid, and was also crushed by a really fat kid
Humiliated in both cases
