Does anyone know what software Tyler uses to make his videos?

2020-11-27 06:00:39 UTC

Lol I’m deep into the Apple ecosystem

2020-11-27 06:01:33 UTC

Quite sadly

But I’m on this old ass macOS <:KEK:726877368601411624>

2020-11-27 06:02:31 UTC

Only the M1 chip?

2020-11-27 06:02:48 UTC

I have the latest MacBook Air but it was the last intel one released 2020

2020-11-27 06:03:35 UTC

Just the Apple Sillicon ones I believe

2020-11-27 06:03:49 UTC

you should delid your MacBook Air and put some liquid metal in there

2020-11-27 15:32:41 UTC

What would liquid metal do

2020-11-27 16:24:25 UTC

Liquid metal is an incredibly efficient thermal transfer material, much better then the average stock thermal paste used .

2020-11-27 16:52:25 UTC

Yeah but it melts to liquid in your hand. Wouldn't it just run all over in the pc?

2020-11-27 16:52:30 UTC

Or mac

2020-11-27 16:56:46 UTC

That's why you basically plate it very thinly.

2020-11-27 16:57:50 UTC

You are just wanting to fill the micro imperfection between the two thermal materials with something, preferably something that itself also transmits heat efficiently.

2020-11-27 18:00:26 UTC

Ah

2020-11-27 20:08:19 UTC

Increase thermal performance. You replace the thermal paste with liquid metal to increase heat transfer with the small heatsink on MacBooks. LTT did this and fixed thermal throttling on the i9 MacBook Pro

2020-11-27 23:56:34 UTC

They were supposed to replace it with the James Webb telescope but that's been delayed until end of next year

2020-11-27 23:56:57 UTC

Dunno if it'll get delayed again though

2020-11-28 00:04:05 UTC

Ah I see

2020-11-28 03:19:05 UTC

Also, they aren't going to take down the hubble telescope, they will use it till it finally breaks and then put it into an orbit where it won't ever hit anything.

2020-11-28 19:50:46 UTC

make sure if you use liquid metal to cover exposed metal around the cpu (not the silicon itself) with nail lacquer, and NEVER let it near aluminium

2020-11-28 19:53:42 UTC

It makes the aluminium lose all structural integrity, just look up gallium (major component in liquid metal) vs aluminium

2020-11-29 15:28:43 UTC

Am I hearing this right? Linus Torvalds got his GitHub account taken off him?

2020-11-29 15:28:57 UTC

Nothing suspicious going on here at all

One S vs. Series S controller

2020-11-29 20:52:44 UTC

It's pretty much the same but the share button right?

2020-11-29 20:52:45 UTC
2020-11-29 21:17:43 UTC

Actually

2020-11-29 21:18:05 UTC

@HUNTER4639 most tech reviewers won’t really note this (although I haven’t watched many of the comparison ones)

2020-11-29 21:18:19 UTC

But if you need an in depth basically it’s just

2020-11-29 21:20:40 UTC

Shorter triggers (surprised me)
Overall more compact design
Share button ofc
Better d-pad
More rounded concave thumbsticks
Grip texture on triggers, controller handles
No glossy finish anywhere anymore. Not even the Xbox logo.

2020-11-29 21:21:01 UTC

Hmm

2020-11-29 21:21:09 UTC

Are those things good?

2020-11-29 21:21:15 UTC

Feels like they had kids in mind

2020-11-29 21:21:17 UTC

Yeah

2020-11-29 21:21:24 UTC

I’d say except the shorter triggers

2020-11-29 21:21:28 UTC

But I got used to it

2020-11-29 21:21:31 UTC

It’s just different

2020-11-29 21:22:00 UTC

But my hands don’t get sweaty and the controller feels clean

2020-11-29 21:22:00 UTC

I just got one with a black friday sale but it's a present so I won't get it until Christmas 😂
