The width will likely help if you do lots of video editing because you can see a lot more of your timeline.

Sry late reply. I'm unfortunately a PC noob. One of my hobbies is to take screenshots inside one of my fav games and you can make really nice screenshots with a monitor that supports 4k res. I unfortunately have no idea how it compares to an ultrawide
