and yeah I have a 1440p phone screen and I don't see a difference tbh, since it's so small haha

2020-12-09 02:14:55 UTC

Very possible, I haven't even heard of that brand and I know smaller brands often use bigger brands like LG and Samsung panels.

2020-12-09 02:15:02 UTC

Maybe, Samsung let’s lots of companies use their parts under contracts so I wouldn’t be shocked

2020-12-09 02:15:11 UTC

yeah thats' what I was thinking

2020-12-09 02:15:24 UTC

Even companies like Apple

2020-12-09 02:16:23 UTC

Even if your a large brand like Apple, over 80% of the new iPhones use a Samsung screen.

2020-12-09 02:16:27 UTC

xD

2020-12-09 02:20:37 UTC

Wow, I just looked it up and my ultrawide is 5 or 6 years old now and is apparently still being sold by LG. Thou, it's $400-500 less then when I originally bought it.

2020-12-09 02:22:04 UTC

ooh cool

2020-12-09 02:24:53 UTC

What model do you have

2020-12-09 02:27:29 UTC

LG 34UC88-b

2020-12-09 02:29:07 UTC

My original screen had to be replaced a little before the one year warranty ended because it developed white lines and ghosting but the replacement has been working well for years now. However for a monitor this old it's still being sold for at least $500 new.

2020-12-09 02:29:44 UTC

oh forgot to mention I got an email tonight saying my Wyze headphones shipped 🙂

2020-12-09 02:30:50 UTC

My main issue jumping on a wide screen is how well it would fit what I need/want. I just want to be able to run 2-3 things full size without issue. Or not super tiny

2020-12-09 02:31:42 UTC

I didn't know wyze made anything except cameras.

2020-12-09 02:31:55 UTC

yeah they just came out with the headphones this fall

2020-12-09 02:32:20 UTC

Do you mean wide screen or ultra wide? If you mean wide screen, I don't think they have made non wide screen in at least a decade.

2020-12-09 02:32:39 UTC

*ultra my bad

2020-12-09 02:33:02 UTC

Not crazy nerdy on monitors lol

2020-12-09 02:33:14 UTC

the CEO (iirc) is Dave Crosby one YT (iirc), so he's into sound and stuff. apparently they've been working on the headphones for a while now

2020-12-09 02:34:17 UTC

I can have two things large enough on my screen at once.

2020-12-09 02:34:46 UTC

ikr it's so cool have a big monitor haha

2020-12-09 02:34:51 UTC

it's soo useful

2020-12-09 02:35:20 UTC

Yeah if that’s what you’re able to get out of it I’ll probably just go with dual 27 inch and have one centered and one off to the side a bit

2020-12-09 02:35:33 UTC

cool

2020-12-09 02:35:42 UTC

Thank you for showing me

2020-12-09 02:36:48 UTC

If my desktop wasn't having problems which is why I'm driving the monitor off my laptop, I normally have my ultrawide as my main and an old 24 inch above. However my laptop can only drive one external.

2020-12-09 03:21:42 UTC

who uses linux here

2020-12-09 03:35:09 UTC

My desktop uses Fedora, my laptop runs PureOS (derivative of Debian), and my VM are CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian.

2020-12-09 03:46:05 UTC

*cries in Windows 10*

2020-12-09 04:19:30 UTC

xD

2020-12-09 04:19:34 UTC

it's not terrible imo

2020-12-09 04:19:50 UTC

but then I haven't fully tried linux so I can't really talk lol

2020-12-09 05:19:27 UTC

I need to learn Linux

2020-12-09 05:23:29 UTC

Have you guys copped any next gen consoles?

2020-12-09 07:42:15 UTC

Not me, I'm sticking to PC and Switch

2020-12-09 11:29:00 UTC

Linux is easier than people think to use

2020-12-09 11:29:27 UTC

most distributions are basically install it and your necessary stuff is where it's supposed to be

2020-12-09 11:30:36 UTC

I've pretty much always used kubuntu since it's user friendly

2020-12-09 13:35:23 UTC

Same, getting a PC changed me as a person and gamer, even if my PC isn’t as powerful as next gen console
