also I prefer the color my bro's IPS panel over my own VA panel. maybe that has nothing to do with the type of panel though. mine was even more expensive, though I suppose that's because it's curved and bigger. his is only 24"

There is a point of diminishing return where you use really high resolution monitor with smaller screens. I don't get the 4k monitors on laptops. I also thought VA was basically the same as IPS thou I only ever had IPS panels because I think VA is a Samsung tech.

and yeah I have a 1440p phone screen and I don't see a difference tbh, since it's so small haha

Very possible, I haven't even heard of that brand and I know smaller brands often use bigger brands like LG and Samsung panels.

Maybe, Samsung let’s lots of companies use their parts under contracts so I wouldn’t be shocked

Wow, I just looked it up and my ultrawide is 5 or 6 years old now and is apparently still being sold by LG. Thou, it's $400-500 less then when I originally bought it.

My original screen had to be replaced a little before the one year warranty ended because it developed white lines and ghosting but the replacement has been working well for years now. However for a monitor this old it's still being sold for at least $500 new.

oh forgot to mention I got an email tonight saying my Wyze headphones shipped 🙂

My main issue jumping on a wide screen is how well it would fit what I need/want. I just want to be able to run 2-3 things full size without issue. Or not super tiny

If my desktop wasn't having problems which is why I'm driving the monitor off my laptop, I normally have my ultrawide as my main and an old 24 inch above. However my laptop can only drive one external.

My desktop uses Fedora, my laptop runs PureOS (derivative of Debian), and my VM are CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian.
