The one the Xbox won’t work with

2020-12-30 03:52:00 UTC

Yes. You can go through all the apps on it and everything. We even use our switch on it sometimes.

2020-12-30 03:53:25 UTC

Oh okay, well ignore everything I just said than I was under the belief the tv didn’t even turn on lol. Sorry

2020-12-30 03:53:39 UTC

Have you tried a different hdmi cable by chance

2020-12-30 03:55:00 UTC

I have not. Idk that I have another one lying around.

2020-12-30 03:56:06 UTC

Is it possible that it is still the cable it the same cable works fine on another TV?

2020-12-30 03:56:19 UTC

One s has two ports, I couldn’t tell you the difference I’m not that techy but make sure it’s in the right port

2020-12-30 03:56:48 UTC

Yeah. I didn't unplug it at all when moving it between tv's.

2020-12-30 03:57:37 UTC

It works on the one tv downstairs still but not the upstairs even though I didn't switch it to a different port at all.

2020-12-30 04:01:23 UTC

Can’t put my mind to what could cause it other than the cable or faulty HDMI ports. Microsoft has really great support forums, more than likely someone has dealt with the same issue. Just google the issue on xBox One S and stuff should come up. It’s pretty much how I fixed all my issues when I had a One S

2020-12-30 04:01:44 UTC

Alrighty. Thanks for trying!

2020-12-30 04:01:57 UTC

@Brendan C. you're not the only one with that issue, my Grandma's Bravia TV doesn't work with my Nintendo switch but works with all the other TVs

2020-12-30 04:02:07 UTC

Hmm

2020-12-30 04:02:15 UTC

So it may be brands that are incompatible

2020-12-30 04:02:31 UTC

I know my tv is a little samsung, but not sure of anything but that. All the other tv's are samsung as well.

2020-12-30 04:02:42 UTC

Odd

2020-12-30 04:02:45 UTC

Ye

2020-12-30 04:03:41 UTC

Samsung? That’s the largest and best TV manufacturer, I wouldn’t imagine there would be a compatibility issue, my one s was on a 9 year old Samsung flat screen for 2 years without issue

2020-12-30 04:16:37 UTC

Yeah. This one had the x-box on it for about 9 months no issue. Got moved to my parents room when we got a new TV, then got moved back to this room when another TV gave out and had the x-box on it for another 2 or 3 weeks before the x-box just stopped turning on middle of the day after having worked fine all morning.

oh neat

2020-12-30 04:56:56 UTC

Can it do newer codecs as well @isoboto

2020-12-30 04:57:50 UTC

what kind of codes do you need? i never went far from the standard video editing, but i can explore it alongside you

2020-12-30 04:58:30 UTC

newer mp4. My phone only records the newest H.265? I think codec

2020-12-30 05:00:12 UTC

its kinda laggin

2020-12-30 05:01:00 UTC

only runnin 5.62 fps tf

2020-12-30 05:14:59 UTC

if somehow you can export it into audio files, it should work

2020-12-30 05:15:19 UTC

blender is pretty versatile, and worst case scenario, you can use a converter

2020-12-30 22:12:38 UTC

Anyone know how fast I can overclock a RAM on a particular mobo? What is the limit depend on?

2020-12-30 22:16:01 UTC

I'm thinking to pair a 3600 MHz 2x 16 GB ram to this setup,

B550M DS3H Gigabyte motherboard
R5 3600
650+ Gold Gigabyte PSU

Will it have issues running at 3600 MHz? Or can I even go higher?

2020-12-30 22:30:43 UTC

unless the motherboard or ram cant handle that speed, i dont see why anything would stop you from doing it. Not super knowledgeable on overclocking though

2020-12-30 23:49:16 UTC

AMD is finicky with high speed RAM. You should check your motherboard because that is more likely the limit but even then, I've had a hard time getting AMD at times stable over 3000 mhz after overclocking the CPU.

2020-12-30 23:51:45 UTC

You do thou with AMD want the fastest RAM you can get stable because it makes a fairly significant difference because how the RAM speed plays into the fabric connection inside the CPU between the separate core modules.

2020-12-30 23:52:28 UTC

I'd take an increase in latency over a decrease in speed.
