nah the bitrate is just how much data the encoder uses per second of video
Yeah I’m recording and still getting like 1000+ FPS average but for some reason the video just looks like crap
High frame rate but it looks like I’m recording on 240p
what are you tryna record
MC
well, i guess it would be the bitrate, then, try something between 12000-20250
in the obs settings
Thanks!
Yeah I’m kinda new at this
idk where it is, i use an old version because newer ones don't like my amd gpu
I hope I didn’t mess anything up when flipping the fan
Ig I’ll see
that woudlnt effect your video quality
Oh that was unrelated to video quality
it'd either work or it wouldnt
I contacted Lenovo support and they said the bottom fan is outtake to push air under the graphics card and to prevent dust
Weird
what kind of gpu cooler is it? Blower?
because that is NOT how it works, well i guess it would prevent dust by not having any airflow
Lol
cba to read the whole conversation
Most of the time the lag is because of the encoder, not the bitrate
If it’s OBS, change the encoder to NVENC if you’ve got an Nvidia GPU
CPU encoding is usually better quality than GPU encoding but you encoding is a lot easier with GPU because a task like this, GPUs are optimized for. That said, even if an old GPU which will give worse quality then a new GPU is usused for encoding should not make 1080p look 240p.
Yeah, I'm definitely not clicking the link in the group text I just got. For one, all the numbers in the text were almost identical to me except the last digit was incremented by one each time. Also, the URL was just an IP address. 🤣
I did thou send a warning in the group text for everyone else in the text to absolutely do not click the link before reporting it as spam to Att.
Lmao wasn’t very hidden
Pi-Hole
Heard good things about that a few years ago
I should probably set one up at some point these days so many sites detect ad block plus it's getting more annoying than it helps
I have more annoyance where I'm getting websites that detect my VPN now days even though I'm on their premium. I never used to have this problem outside a few banking websites but now I have about a dozen that just stop working if I have my VPN on.
Which VPN are you using?
I have trouble finding a vpn my company doesnt block
SurfShark worked for a while but now they have that one blocked
I use ProtonVPN
At my last internship, ProtonVPN was able to no be blocked while my paid ExpressVPN at the time was. Not sure if it would still be able to bypass because I'm not working there anymore.
Yeah, games are putting in VPN detection/blocking as well. I just gave up because it kept on messing up my online features
That may be a bigger deal if I actually played much online gaming. My bigger annoyance is some of the restaurants for doing online pickup don't completely stop working with a VPN but don't work quite right so you spend time trying to determine if it's crappy programing on the site, there website just having problems, or if it's the VPN I mindlessly have running in the background.
Boo ProtonVPN blocked 😢
I have to resort to remote desktoping to my desktop at home and browsing via remote desktop
