plus i guess it depends on what you define as fans. i wouldn't consider myself an avid fan. i know the basic ground rules and the teams and scream enough for a few teams, but i wouldn't pay tickets or travel to see the team

i wouldn't necessarily agree that new hockey fans will root for whatever catches their attention on Twitter, least of all the wokesters. They will be tearing into the sports rather than enjoying it, even if there is a gender neutral league. Hockey is considered the "whitest" sports
