Or maybe even expand the playoffs. Four teams is really narrow. Ranks 5-10 is where things get heated and they should be included too to spice things up, have more variety, stuff like that. With, say, a 12 team format like the NFL adopted this season then top two teams get a bye week then 10 other teams battle it out, maybe 3 seed plays 12 seed so on and so forth. That way there would be more action from other conferences and more variety year by year

I'd be good with 8

2020-12-22 03:48:35 UTC

Hell, even 6 with power 5 champions and the best group of 5 team would be decent

2020-12-22 03:49:30 UTC

But then again that might not be the most fair

2020-12-22 03:49:31 UTC

Idk

2020-12-22 03:51:36 UTC

Agreed. Them and maybe SDSU are bigger than the rest of the MW.

2020-12-22 03:51:53 UTC

Fresno is pretty good too

2020-12-22 03:51:59 UTC

But while BSU is still here

2020-12-22 03:52:25 UTC

sad Boise fan noises

2020-12-22 03:52:44 UTC

Has Fresno been ranked since they had Adams and Carr?

2020-12-22 03:52:58 UTC

Ye

2020-12-22 03:53:15 UTC

They were #18 in 2018

2020-12-22 03:53:19 UTC

Went 12-2 and won the MW

2020-12-22 03:53:22 UTC

Ah

2020-12-22 03:53:31 UTC

As a Boise fan that was a very sad championship

2020-12-22 03:53:42 UTC

I'm a San Jose State alum

2020-12-22 03:53:55 UTC

Congrats on the MW title

2020-12-22 03:54:13 UTC

Thanks. Still can't believe we weren't embarrassingly bad this year.

2020-12-22 03:54:38 UTC

They kind of just came out of nowhere

2020-12-22 03:56:07 UTC

I heard that moving to a smaller conference really helped Starkel

2020-12-22 03:56:41 UTC

And that his experience in the SEC helped him in the bigger games in the MW

2020-12-22 03:57:28 UTC

I've been waiting for Boise to have that like, next step season

2020-12-22 03:57:50 UTC

Seems like they usually are good for MW title appearance sometimes win, but they always blow a game or two to sour the season a bit

2020-12-22 04:01:49 UTC

Normally I expect the win over the FCS school and maybe one or two conference wins

2020-12-22 04:02:11 UTC

Except 2018 where I watched them lose to UC fucking Davis

2020-12-22 04:03:18 UTC

Now that is a big yikes

2020-12-22 04:04:02 UTC

Losing to an FCS school is pretty much the most embarrassing thing a program can accomplish (especially the power 5 teams when they do it)

2020-12-22 04:04:07 UTC

Unless its North Dakota State

2020-12-22 04:06:51 UTC

The worst part was I had to call my sister that night who goes to that school lol

2020-12-22 04:07:30 UTC

How do you feel about the Sharks chances next season?

2020-12-22 04:07:37 UTC

And oof

2020-12-22 04:08:38 UTC

Eh, hard to say until I know who opts out. Seems no one will give them a chance but I think it's possible they squeak into 4th in their division.

2020-12-22 04:09:05 UTC

But that's super contingent on
- health
- everyone not having a down year

2020-12-22 04:09:28 UTC

They’ve finally entered their rebuild

2020-12-22 04:09:53 UTC

Seems like they were avoiding it for years

2020-12-22 04:11:18 UTC

Hard to rebuild with the contracts of Burns, EK65, and Vlasic

2020-12-22 04:11:31 UTC

And the Dubnyk trade was stupid

2020-12-22 04:13:26 UTC

Ye they went all in on the cup

2020-12-22 04:13:30 UTC

That team is snakebit

2020-12-22 04:20:14 UTC

All things considered they got really lucky in 2019 with fortunate calls. Thought it would be the contrast to 2014 after having the "intent to whistle" rule to against us every single time.

2020-12-22 04:20:52 UTC

LMAO THE STEELERS LOST
