Generally I agree that their schedule is easier but heres the problem

2020-12-22 03:24:49 UTC

Louisiana Lafayette beat Iowa State by 17 points in Week 1

2020-12-22 03:24:57 UTC

They lost 1 game to an unbeaten team all season

2020-12-22 03:25:18 UTC

Iowa State was ranked ahead of them basically the whole year

2020-12-22 03:26:37 UTC

Even if they were to go undefeated and play good teams in non conference, it doesn't matter because the committee just doesn't care, they just go by what they think are the "bEsT tEAMz"

2020-12-22 03:28:48 UTC

That’s how it always is unfortunately.

2020-12-22 03:30:48 UTC

I wonder if there’s an alternate universe where the Mountain West conference or something like that is the shit and the SEC is just the untouchable that produces a draft pick every now and again

2020-12-22 03:31:36 UTC

Speaking of the Mountain West, Boise State wants in on the AAC

2020-12-22 03:31:47 UTC

Boise should be in the pac 12

2020-12-22 03:32:33 UTC

Facts, that would strengthen that conference a bit

2020-12-22 03:33:30 UTC

Well no I can’t say that really, the Pac 12 isnt terrible they just were restrictive bc of covid, so limited schedule etc

2020-12-22 03:34:43 UTC

The Pac 12 is just like painfully average

2020-12-22 03:34:54 UTC

They have no like superstar teams which means they all beat each other

2020-12-22 03:36:59 UTC

Does the power 5 even exist

2020-12-22 03:37:21 UTC

Or should we just exile the pac 12 until they become better and just have the power 4

2020-12-22 03:37:55 UTC

promotion and relegation so the playoffs are fair

2020-12-22 03:38:41 UTC

^^^^

2020-12-22 03:42:53 UTC

Or maybe even expand the playoffs. Four teams is really narrow. Ranks 5-10 is where things get heated and they should be included too to spice things up, have more variety, stuff like that. With, say, a 12 team format like the NFL adopted this season then top two teams get a bye week then 10 other teams battle it out, maybe 3 seed plays 12 seed so on and so forth. That way there would be more action from other conferences and more variety year by year

2020-12-22 03:48:09 UTC

I'd be good with 8

2020-12-22 03:48:35 UTC

Hell, even 6 with power 5 champions and the best group of 5 team would be decent

2020-12-22 03:49:30 UTC

But then again that might not be the most fair

2020-12-22 03:49:31 UTC

Idk

2020-12-22 03:51:36 UTC

Agreed. Them and maybe SDSU are bigger than the rest of the MW.

2020-12-22 03:51:53 UTC

Fresno is pretty good too

2020-12-22 03:51:59 UTC

But while BSU is still here

2020-12-22 03:52:25 UTC

sad Boise fan noises

2020-12-22 03:52:44 UTC

Has Fresno been ranked since they had Adams and Carr?

2020-12-22 03:52:58 UTC

Ye

2020-12-22 03:53:15 UTC

They were #18 in 2018

2020-12-22 03:53:19 UTC

Went 12-2 and won the MW

2020-12-22 03:53:22 UTC

Ah

2020-12-22 03:53:31 UTC

As a Boise fan that was a very sad championship

2020-12-22 03:53:42 UTC

I'm a San Jose State alum

2020-12-22 03:53:55 UTC

Congrats on the MW title

2020-12-22 03:54:13 UTC

Thanks. Still can't believe we weren't embarrassingly bad this year.

2020-12-22 03:54:38 UTC

They kind of just came out of nowhere

2020-12-22 03:56:07 UTC

I heard that moving to a smaller conference really helped Starkel

2020-12-22 03:56:41 UTC

And that his experience in the SEC helped him in the bigger games in the MW

2020-12-22 03:57:28 UTC

I've been waiting for Boise to have that like, next step season

2020-12-22 03:57:50 UTC

Seems like they usually are good for MW title appearance sometimes win, but they always blow a game or two to sour the season a bit

2020-12-22 04:01:49 UTC

Normally I expect the win over the FCS school and maybe one or two conference wins
