lol
merica
a number of containers could be dug down into your lawn in case you lack a basement
I have a bastment luckily
basement
and always remember that a pistol might look good, but you miss all the time man, a shotgun may sound dorkier but you will have a harder time to miss with it
for self defence i cant recomend a shotgun hard enough
I cant really fire a shotgun honestly
Im just a tiny bony teenager
heck I fired an M16 and it pushed bad
that's what muzzle brakes are for
also if you do use a shotty, get some federal flite control 00 buck
what is a muzzle brake anyway
You know that really big thing at the end of a 50 cal rifle?
yeah
the thing with the hole
I mean how does it help
Changes the direction of the gases
With the barret it angles them back towards you a bit, tugging the rifle forward and countering the push of the recoil impulse
oh
that makes sense
I assume it slows the round though
Nope
so why dont they equip it on every gun with a barrel
Money
lol
answer to everything
but a muzzle brake is a tiny piece of metal
"money tho" goes the gun companies
Still costs time and effort to make said tiny piece of metal
yeah
makes sense
its still a gun
and itll still kill someone who wants to kill you
Yep
@LeSwede Every prepper should have a plan to egress if needed. Should it be a first course of action? For many, the answer is no
For people in NYC or New Orleans, which is about to get hit by a hurricane, it might be
@A Person The problem with threading a barrel isn't just money. It requires a setup that has virtually perfect concentricity because if the muzzle attachment isn't on perfectly concentric with the barrel, your accuracy goes to shit
Plus muzzle brakes are really noisy to anyone behind the muzzle
