Right. I had some old classmates mentioning it last year.
I don't know an extensive amount of knowledge regarding nonperishables
but I do know that my dumbass is only thinking about buying and stocking up on pepperoni pizza MREs
even if they taste bad.

Virgin gang ahahahah
Get a dehydrator and a vacuum sealer. Can make your own MREs
Mre is too heavy and bulky for bob
Mres are for preppers
Basically camping out in a bunker for years kind of thing
I was told I wouldn't be able to live in an RV. My husband was told he wouldn't be able to install solar. But we didn't doubt our plans for a minute! Now we have a fully off-grid capable lifestyle with fully self sustaining power...I'm stoked!
my brother just finished installing the solar panels on the duplex we split 🙂 he did an amazing job and now he wants to do a power bank type thing
That's awesome. I was surprised the number of nay-sayers.
The more nay-sayers, the more joy when all is said and done tho ;) good luck with the power bank.
Hah can't survive off of solar ans only the grid Lawl whoever said it couldn't be done is so full of it and sheep
"You can't do it!" Well ya did it and I'm happy! @Armenelos
What's the lifespan on the panels, or is it more dependent on environmental factors?

@Scott_Cole no clue.... I only know that if it doesn't rain for like a week we have to go clean them, and we have to clean them every 2 weeks no matter what because of the salt
Makes sense.
@ThatShadyVandal I kinda feel like an idiot that I never thought of that because I use my dehydrator & vacuum sealer for beef, turkey jerky. Of course we vacuum seal everything before freezing & dehydrate fruits for snack/trail mix but the jerky was the only thing I used the two together. Thanks for posting that!
Hope for the best, prepare for everything, amiright?
@Lord Bertfyre Hey man, we're all here to help one another
ah yes Boyscouts, before they decided that just simply changing the girl scouts was to hard for them
Being an ES holds less value than it used to
Indeed
My friend who was in my old troop is working on his right now
I got mine when I was 15
Oh that was earlier this year
That's unfortunate...
ooh
why am i getting a notification ping even though nothings been posted yet?

@ThiccSpicyGenderRevealParty The change wasn't nearly as dramatic as most people think. I'll address your first claim that they should've just "changed the Girl Scouts". The Girl Scouts are a completely different organization with a bunch of people at the top getting rich as heck. There aren't people getting rich off of Boy Scouts. There are people who are employees of BSA, but they're for the most part just enough to make a decent living. In Girl Scouts, the majority of money from their fundraisers went to higher ups, not the troop, in Boy Scouts, the majority of the money goes straight back into the program (This is why I try not to buy Girl Scout Cookies, I'm supporting some rich dude more than the troop itself). Now that we've established that they're two different organizations, I would like to explain the reasoning for the decision, and what exactly it entailed. One thing that most people can agree on is that Girl Scouts has deteriorated. They don't do rigorous camp outs like they used to anymore. And they're only getting worse. Boy Scouts on the other hand has many extremely rigorous backpacking trips. Many girls wanted the opportunity to do this things too, and they didn't want to wait until they were old enough to do Venturing Scouts, and Venturing is EXTREMELY rigorous. So they made the decision to create seperate Girl Troops. I will admit, when I first heard about it I was upset, but us in the Boy Troops have almost zero interaction with the girl troops. It didn't mess up the young men mentality in the troops, not at all. Even at national events and Order of the Arrow, there have been girls for years and years due to Venturing. If they tried to put girls in the same troop, I would be mad. If they allowed us to share campsites, I would be mad. But so far, all that has happened is they provided a better alternative to girls interested in Scouting.
I will admit that the BSA has done some very stupid woke things lately, and the advertising they did for it was one of them. But the creation of Girl troops I personally see as a good thing. As an extremely active Scout myself, I have barely found any difference other than I can now talk to a girl about Philmont. And that is a fun conversation to have
Fair enough
but why did they let the Girl Scouts become a (and i say this bcs i have no better term) private organization rather then just do what they did for the Boy Scouts?
