Sure thing. From what I can say so far its built like a tank compared to what I'd consider even a good solid flashlight. I'm confident this thing can take a beating and not care.

As far as the electronics I cant be 100% certain. One important thing to know is that the flashlight has a 5 year warranty for any internal components going bad.

kabars/combat knives aren't good for batoning? I do it all the time..

I am referring to the classic KaBar with the Rat Tail tang

KaBar as a company was moved to china and ever since their steel quality had also declined

Still have rat tail tangs so you have to be careful battoning

moras are great. I need to pick one up sometime

I use them as trash knives that I'm comfortable breaking

I can't afford to own "trash knives," but I understand what your getting at. And I don't use the my kabars to often. Just once and I while for "light" tasks, b/c I enjoy using vintage pieces.

for hard woods, I usually use my Ontario knife or sometimes my hatchet

thing about the hatch though, is that it sucks to carry b/c it weighs a good bit

fine for use around the house though
