Itโs set 5 years after Return of the Jedi
Same time as Heir to the Empire, an old Star Wars novel
Ah yes before Rey exists... I like it already
Not gonna spoiler anything more, but....awesome!
Well I know which show to watch next
It goes back more to what the Mandalorians were supposed to be, even before the Prequels.
Yeah I call Disneyโs movies โthe Disney trilogyโ I try separate it as much as I can from what I love lol
Pre-internet, George and other Lucasfilm folks stated that the Clone Wars were against the Mandalorians.
In interviews, and SW fan club stuff.
In an interview from 1980 George said that he originally wanted to release his episode VII in 2011
*nods*
Well Mark Hamill said that George said it
My brother said the IG-88 looking robot is hilarious
I still need to see it but I don't want Disney to have my money
Boba Fett in the OT was a serious letdown. He just *looked* cool, but sucked.
*cough* sharethefiles *cough*
Yโknow there was a scene in the script for the Empire Strikes Back that got cut, but Boba Fett And IG-88 weโre supposed to show up at Cloud City and the same time and have a big fight on the landing platform
And thatโs why if you look closely, the scene when Chewbacca rescues C-3PO from that garbage incineration room, thereโs a dead IG-88 slumped over in the background
That would've been cool. But Boba, and Jango daddy, were just...there.
I've heard that was another IG series in the trash.
Yeah the one in the trash is actually unpainted
In the EU it actually says it.
LOL Want a *real* deep cut? Slow down the cantina scene. Wuher is using IG-88 heads as taps.
Yes
The head is a reused tap
In the EU there was a story where that fight actually did take place, and IG-88 managed to upload his conciseness to another droid, and he kept moving and moving around uploading himself to different droids and computers until he finally uploaded himself to the Death Star 2
IG-88 becomes the Death Star 2, like two seconds later the Rebels blow it up ๐
The backstory was the IG-88 series activated, killed their creators, and went in different directions.
When the droid in Rogue 1 hacked the other droid I was 100% sure he was installing his own os onto it so they had a... copy of him
I thiiiink there were eight of them.
Yes, they are also known as โassassin droidsโ
The IGs
Well, yes, but the IG series' before were also bodyguards, soldiers, etc.
The IG Lancers were bad to the bone.
Are those the guys we see in the 2003 Clone Wars cartoon?
Which I love by the way
Yep!
I vaguely remember something about a heavily modified federation droid with blade arms
Sounds like Mister Bones.
Yeah
