2020-06-29 08:42:34 UTC

Oh okee

2020-06-29 08:43:41 UTC

Quick question: do you guys think that airsoft simulated actual combat?

2020-06-29 08:43:52 UTC

No

2020-06-29 08:44:20 UTC

You carry way less weight for a start

2020-06-29 08:44:50 UTC

Oh

2020-06-29 08:46:48 UTC

Unless you and your unit get together to do it, to practice drills/tactics but then again you do that anyway in a non-airsoft environment

2020-06-29 08:47:15 UTC

airsoft is purely for fun, keep it that way

2020-06-29 08:47:50 UTC

Ah ok

2020-06-29 08:48:19 UTC

I think I’ll stick to the fun part first I still got my IB diploma to finish 😂

2020-06-29 08:50:57 UTC

One step at a time

2020-06-29 08:53:44 UTC

Anyone else have a drill sergeant who threw firecrackers, fireworks into the barracks while everyone was sleeping so they be prepared for and be used to enemy artillery attacks/bombing runs

2020-06-29 08:55:26 UTC

Threw firecrackers outside never in😆

2020-06-29 08:59:11 UTC

I'm not talking about some small fireworks some of them used to shake the whole barracks

2020-06-29 09:01:19 UTC

You are still here

2020-06-29 09:01:32 UTC

Yeah

2020-06-29 09:01:33 UTC

so it must of been good😅

2020-06-29 09:01:58 UTC

I mean on the server @Luckay

2020-06-29 09:50:05 UTC

Were the nukes in ww2 actually justified?

2020-06-29 09:50:19 UTC

I just want to see you guys opinion on this

2020-06-29 09:54:01 UTC

Japan was never going to surrender if America didn't nuke them twice

2020-06-29 10:25:18 UTC

Yeah that’s what I thought too, they didn’t even intend to surrender after the second nuke too...

2020-06-29 10:26:10 UTC

Until the emperor announced they were surrendering

2020-06-29 10:26:50 UTC

They actually made so many purple heart medals for the planned air land and sea invasion of Japan they were still handing them out in the Iraq war

2020-06-29 10:29:35 UTC

It was a smart move not nuking Tokyo though, they venerated the emperor like a god

2020-06-29 10:58:20 UTC

They didnt plan on surrenderin, amd we didnt wanna risk the lives of millions of human lives trying to take Japan with human bodies. Was the most tactical solution out there

2020-06-29 11:02:02 UTC

Sacrifice a few thousand to save the lives of millions

2020-06-29 11:13:49 UTC

Now both cities and Japan itself are thriving

2020-06-29 11:14:35 UTC

Yep

2020-06-29 11:19:04 UTC

One poor guy survived both

2020-06-29 11:20:50 UTC

worked in Hiroshima then gets sent home to Nagasaki, lived to 93

2020-06-29 11:23:04 UTC

@KumquatLord
That was the plan for Operation Downfall

2020-06-29 11:34:38 UTC

> They didnt plan on surrenderin, amd we didnt wanna risk the lives of millions of human lives trying to take Japan with human bodies. Was the most tactical solution out there
@Zilla the Japanese military was actually willing to use every able bodied man and woman to defend the home islands

2020-06-29 11:34:53 UTC

Mhhm

2020-06-29 11:35:44 UTC

Like even though they are severely depleted in terms of arms (the Americans surely have more advanced weapons at this point) Japanese troops when conscripted with the population would immensely outnumber the Americans

2020-06-29 11:36:11 UTC

Mhm

2020-06-29 11:36:23 UTC

Not to mention the terrain which they will fight in, suitable to guérilla warfare, thus prolonging the war and causing more casualties

2020-06-29 11:36:54 UTC

Even an illequiped army can be dangerous when using their environment
