Anyone else have a drill sergeant who threw firecrackers, fireworks into the barracks while everyone was sleeping so they be prepared for and be used to enemy artillery attacks/bombing runs

They actually made so many purple heart medals for the planned air land and sea invasion of Japan they were still handing them out in the Iraq war

It was a smart move not nuking Tokyo though, they venerated the emperor like a god

They didnt plan on surrenderin, amd we didnt wanna risk the lives of millions of human lives trying to take Japan with human bodies. Was the most tactical solution out there
