I know there were 2 of them, both are museum pieces now
The yf120 engine couldn't supercruise which was on one of the prototypes
Same with the f22
Ah so one was cheaper to maintain technically
but ultimately 119 was chosen
Yes because it was a more capable engine
While 119 is more expensive, it does have the fuel efficiency benefit
I think the 120 was just a placeholder for the 119 because the 120 couldn't supercruise
I could be wrong
You're correct, 120 couldn't super cruise but it was more reliable since it uses the same parts as 119 without the Super cruise impeller
So the guys in the forums are talking about the yf23 with 120s then
Yep, which might be the Black painted YF23
I personally like the white one
More
the white one used 119 with a 3-7 degree thrust vector
Wait I didn't know the 23 could vector
barely
Is it enough to be useful
It is
think about it, SU-27's had thrust vector as well but it was a restricted 3-5 degrees
The Russians shit their pants seeing the 23 and 22 for the first time
Yeah, because the west, not only matched their agility, they also became Sky ninjas
its not until they found a way to use short wave radars to spot stealth targets
Isn't short wave very flawed
the issue is that short wave radars have a lot of clutter and to clean up that clutter it takes a lot of effort
I love SU's
Su27ub
The first time a played with a russian jet (Mig 21 at the time) I never looked back on US fighters
Do you still like American fighters
It was liberating to out maneuver a target
I do, mostly out of Speed and ammo capacity
Do you play ace combat 7
Yes, but my disc drive is broken, I need to buy it digital, again
Yea I got all of the stealthy bois
Including the x02s
I got all of the planes minus the DLC ones that came out
because Disc drive is broken
It's funny that I dont even have the f15c
