It will probably be modernised to a 5+ gen in the late 2020s or the 2030s
F22 is the most advansed fighter afaik
Not gonna get replaced anytime soon
True
In fact its so advanced that until a month ago it was only in the us military
Trump recently allowed Isreal to buy some if im not mistaken
But other than that no other country has them
I am watching Air Aces on American Heroes Channel. The episode about the Red Tails
Y'all should watch Combat Approved.
It's a series of documentaries on Russian military vehicles/aircraft/ships/weapons.
The F-22, like the A-10, wont retire for another 20 years, wven in the presence of 6th and 7th gen fighter craft as it is a reliable interceptor platform that is still lightyears ahead of the game and can be used to train new fighters in stealth fighter combat
Hell, it might receive modifications like the F/A-18 where it can be used for electronic warfare
My grandfather used to fly the Warhog
Says it was one of his favorites
the warthog is good, shame Fairchild Republic went bankrupt so no more are being produced, and also means upgrades to the platform are gonna be difficult to do
wish they woulda sold off the blueprints to someone like Boeing or Lockheed
who could have possibly given us a stealth capable varient with a vastly more up to date computer system
why didn't they do that
:(
A-10 as a 7th gen fighter would be cool
Mhmm
Maybe
i see they are talking about the a10
fellow cultured folk i see
All of you are sayin' Army or Marines, my answer which one has cool planes such as the B-52s, that's right, the U.S. Air Force
Navy 😜
Duh
I got 3 generations behind me that were in the USAF
So yeah i agree
@Hot babe VK168.01 (P) its still the pride of the navy to this day, because it is the only ship they have LOL
Lol
you forget, they still have the Anti-Air to actually shoot stuff down
And that anti air has been getting spicy lately
Wish they could go back and make more A-10's, especially the two seat versions. Would have loved to had an incentive ride on one when I was active.
apparently the A10 isn't very fast and not well protected which is why they stopped making them
That is a very uninformed opinion. The A-10 has some of the most rediculously redundant backup systems and pilot protection of any aircraft ever built. It'll literally a flying tank.
Im not saying thats what i think, im saying thats the reason they gave
Personally i don't see any reason to get rid of it
