but their tanks turret was, well it wasnt exactly compact and wasnt exactly well armored
you can see just how massive the coaxial is in this pic
Now we're talking about a tank? Gah you're too fast.

speaking of stuff that isnt well armored
hey someone mentioned a tank
what about the new north korean tank?
with its smoke launchers in the turret
isnt that a pretty massive armor flaw?
not exactly
this concept has already been played around with other stuff, like the Polish PL-01 prototype stealth tank
looks like a modern CV-90
well, the idea of the PL-01 was to be built onto the Anders light tank platform (which is already a pretty decent tank platform for what it is) and modify it to use technologies based off of Aircraft stealth tech, its sharp edges to bounce radar sigs and its black paint to absorb some of it
its sexy af
i wish more tanks looked like that
which, while it was an aspiring idea. the vehicle would ultimately never leave prototyping stages due to the designers having absolutely no idea what kinda doctrine they wanted the vehicle to operate in
but it would spark interest in American armor designers to look at the idea of stealth tanks but make it something that could actually work. Enter the Bae Systems thermal heat sync plates. an idea that essentually uses small plates that can absorbe or disperse the heat generated by the vehicle to make it look like anything it wants under Thermal vision, such as looking like a truck or like a cow
This is such a cool channel 👍
looks like a car thats ready for a summer trip at the beach on the right yes? well on the left it shows you its actual true form to a degree
thats fucking awesome
it's amazing how far technology has come since ww2
Mhm
Now the goal of Bea systems take on stealth tanks isnt full on invisibility, but essentially walking into a cave of lions qith a lion costume on
And passing as a lion
And honestly, its quite possible that America's 1st 4th gen tank has these thermal plates on it
That’s a really old picture
It’s from like 2010
Using dazzlers and infrared smoke is far more cost effective for the same benefit
Not to mention it’s more a show-off to prove how good BAE’s technology is rather than practical use
Found your tank
The bavarium tank from just cause 3
Stealth tech... Ever hear of Project Chemeleo?
Invisibility cloaks.
Predator style camouflage suits.
Giant holographic green screen style fabric walls to quickly hide "crash sites", among other things.
This podcast covers it very well.

QRD: Basically the feds have exotic cloaking/invisibility tech. It is deployed. This guy stumbled upon it. He connected dots.

Iv heard rumors of somerhing like that nothing ever solid
Also. Dazzlers and IR smoke are a surefire way to tell an enemy armor unit that you are in the area, they are only good if you have already alerted the enemy of your presence and you need to escape or reposition
Bea Systems tech is to give vehicle users the ultimate advantage in a fight. To remain unseen and be able to land a devistating blow to the enemy
Or to be able to scout an area and sit right outside an enemy base without being detected
POLAND the only other country russia is afraid to invade
