Bro says lots of the wma near him in bama is fairly secluded too, wondering if folks are psyching themselves out, kinda like what I've done by thinking it'll be too crowded so no point, instead relying on private properties

2020-11-19 04:17:34 UTC

Maybe.

I remember my dad telling me about some of the shit they saw on federal land in CO during various training events the USAF did when he was younger. ofc a lot of the land was very remote, which you would think means not many people would go out there, but no. ofc they had the usual stoners and such, but apparently CO had a real issue with witches on federal land. It got to be such a problem that my dad said they were ordered to go well out of their way to circumnavigate around any squatters, esp. if it looked like they were practicing witchcraft.

idk if the gov believed the witches could actually harm the airmen, but ik my dad and his buddies were certainly bothered by them.

I thought maybe it got snapped by a bad leg trap, but bro says it looks natural, just one of those defects ya get once in awhile

2020-11-20 01:13:42 UTC

Says he's seen it before, first time I've seen anything like it

2020-11-20 01:29:25 UTC

Could be inbreed but idk if wild animals can be affected by that

2020-11-20 01:47:21 UTC

well im glad he is at peace now.

2020-11-20 01:47:29 UTC

Oh for sure, mutations are fairly common, usually if ya see something like that u kill it asap so it doesn't pollute the gene pool

2020-11-20 01:48:01 UTC

We've not seen this fella before, he just followed some does over here for rut

2020-11-20 04:09:51 UTC

2020-11-20 04:11:30 UTC

Yeah really lol. He's actually missed a few before, just gets so pumped he can hardly sit still

2020-11-20 04:12:42 UTC

But he's put in the hours and learned from mistakes, he's 13, been hunting with his dad since he was 4

2020-11-20 04:14:36 UTC

Just last year started hunting solo, but today they were late getting out so they both just went to the closed box stand, had an awesome dad n son hunt. Gonna be a helluva memory for them both

You dont have to "gut" a deer to butcher it completely. You can make the first incision on the back and go in from the top, leaving the gut sack intact and in the carcass. That way you don't relase anything foul in to your butchering area.

2020-11-20 18:01:45 UTC

You shouldn’t puncture any of the internal organs when gutting if doing it properly. You just have to be careful with your knife.

2020-11-20 18:03:25 UTC

I am saying that you never need to remove the guts in the forest nor should you. You can leave them intact in the carcass the whole time. Start to finish. Then there is no way to puncture them. It is a more advanced way of skinning. Not that common, but much better. I have never removed the stomach of a deer. especially here it is dangerous due to predators.
