@sixfivebyfiftyfive where are you from?
technically, I guess I am from SC. I was born on Shaw AFB, but have since lived in NM, i think Bama, north Texas, NOVA, south-central Texas, and now I am back in NOVA for a little bit. <:KEK:726877368601411624>
sweet bass btw. I don't think I have a picture, but my pb was about that size aswell.
I caught him on a black and white marabou craw-dad thing I tied up.
I'll try to find it, I think I still have the lure itself.
Nice
That bass was probably about a 4 pounder and I caught it on some cheap Amazon crankbait my friend had
nice. I swear, cheap lures work best for whatever reason. <:dogekek:726878872607653918>
I know it’s so weird
Hey what does NOVA stand for by the way?
northern virginia. Its bit dif from the rest of VA just b/c of the political climate
Ah I see
Do you have Snakehead up there?
on the lower half of the Potomac, yes. I don't believe* they have been confirmed to exist above the Great-Falls damn though.
I think I read somewhere that they live from Florida all the way up to Maryland
this guy caught a record snakehead here in 2016. before that, they thought snakehead couldn't grow to be larger than 2feet in the potomac do too the water quality.
yes I believe your right.
Dang
Do you catch them?
no I dont
Oh well if you do, eat it. I’ve tried it before and it’s delicious
so I've heard.
damn, looks good!
I'm told some species are poisonous, but I think that Changus Argus (what we have in VA) is safe if cooked.
Pan fry a snakehead, throw some panko on it and it’s amazing
panko?
what is that?
It’s like Japanese breadcrumbs basically
ahh, that sounds good
You can get them at Publix
Oh wait
Publix is a southern thing
here is a picture of the Potomac river at the northern end of a trail called Difficult Run. I can ride it pretty much all the way from my house, but it is rather exhausting. For that reason, I have never bothered to bring a rod when ride this trail.
That’s a pretty nice view
I just looked in my ride logs, and its literally just ten miles from my place, with some 1500 feet in elevation change.
Sweet
This is where I fish
