Cause when you get nothing during gun season, you start thinking, “ c’mon I want to at least get something” and you’re willing to shoot most everything to fill the freezer.
I saw 3 does this season but haven't got anything and it's near the end so next deer or pig I see is getting blasted no matter how small it is.
I’ve never taken a shot at a deer more than 60+ yards max
Now if it's a baby I'm not going to shoot it but you get what I mean
Does a yearling fill the freezer tho
Well at least it's something
@KungFlu BatSoup where the heck u hunting? And what the heck are you doing that you've only seen 3 does?
@Meatball by fort polk louisiana
Yeah it doesn’t fill the freezer, but you don’t want to go season without getting anything. But, I’ve shot a yearling before and I’m not doing that again.
Public or private track?
Private
Acreage?
@Milkgamer55 was the time cleaning not worth the meat you get?
400 I believe
How many hunters on it?
35
Yeah, it wasn’t worth getting to the guts, for the amount meat. Besides I felt bad for shooting a a small one
Well there's your problem. Lmao
Wayyyy too much pressure.
I think it's more that 400 the man just owns 400 acres and rents some from logging companys to
Of coarse I’ve got a bunch of bucks in my backyard and haven’t been in the right place and the right time.
Last year they knocked over my stand and destroyed a feeder while logging
Yeah, way too much pressure man
Too much human activity
Gotta find a better track
Most of the big bucks are all probably mostly nocturnal too
Yeah they are I have a 8 point on my cam
I'm on 100 acres, sitting between a massive ag farm, but it's only me and my bro's family, we get tons of activity
You got to catch them early in the morning
Another problem might be that one stand is on a trail to to it easier to get to and the other one is 3 and a half hour ride into the woods
I’m going turkey huntin in the morning. It’s opening day for late fall turkey shotgun season here in Kentucky.
Well guys that also depends on the time of year and their cycles. Georgia is typically an earlier rut than most and we're getting close to our secondary
I’ve got 30 acres, plenty of activity, big bucks in the area and still haven’t been able to get one
Pre-rut the bucks will be nocturnal for the most part
During rut they lose their minds and come out all day
Is the rut over or is it close to over?
I haven’t even seen a deer this year and have went hunting probly 10 times
In fact the best time I've found during rut is around noon-2 pm at times
Solunar activity makes a difference too
First rut is almost over in Central Georgia, going to move into secondary rut soon
