I was using this little squirrel as aim steadiness practice lol
My crosshair was right on his little bushy tail
Some good pork but they uprooted the entire plot so it's gonna have to be replowed after deer season
@Lil bufflehead although I shot a hooded merganser and skinned him
Damn that’s beautiful
I would get that mounted
Well I didn't get a deer but got a pig
Decent one too
Blurry 😂
@HUNTER4639 yeah I was shaking so bad I couldn't hold my phone still
😂 good bacon
Imma upload a better photo when I go to clean it
This little shit is the one that tore up last night
Well little shit........200 pound shit
Nice pig!
I would go hunting as much as possible if they are on the property and kill as many as possible
Yeah it was 170 pounds
This one is actually pretty usual size for where I hunt
A guy on our lease killed a 425 pound last year
Nice!
We don’t have wild pigs in Michigan
We have some in Cali
Hold up. That’s illegal
Only way to get one is if you get drawn
But I am pretty sure it’s a rare draw
You got any info on the steel and handle? It looks well finished and grounded down. What are you skinning
Anything by OKC is mostly good, ive used that RAT folder myself, I'd say any folder that can survive 3 tours and heavy use, plus a return to hunting is a worthy blade....both the fixed and folder RATs, plus my KaBar
Gerber, Kershaw, CRKT, OKC, Cold Steel, Al Mar, Randall knifes, Zero Tolerance are my fav mfg of blades from low to high end
Winchester skinning knife I got for 30 dollars
@Aperfectghost I always wanted a zero tolerance but they are really expensive
The ZT 0460 is what I've got, it's a good working folder for alot, blades are made out an steel that keeps it edge for a good long time. For the cautionary tale for buying any expensive knife there's always somebody out there making a the same blade far cheaper, for example I saw the same knife sold at a knife and gun show in my area that was only $70 did everything my $200 ZT did...cut the same, blade finishing and fit/finish is the same... moral of the story is just because of knife is expensive doesn't mean it has similar abilities.
cant say I have ever put a knife through that much use, but yes, okc makes great stuff.
kabars are wicked too. I gotta a couple antique ones that are absolutely great for bushcraft.
Buck I've had for 8 years now, unzip and delimb anywhere from 3 to 10 deer per year with it, only use it for hunting related issues
Carried it with me everywhere til I started carrying my 9mm
The O.G Bowie pattern works well at everything I've thrown at, that basically what a kabar is afterall
