you know you mentioned kids are taught history is boring. This is off the subject of course, but I think a lot of our education problems stem from the fact school makes kids not like learning. Like history is often boring. I'll admit a lot of parts of history can be boring, but there is a lot of excitement as well. Then you have fucking english class making kids hate reading. You try to get kids to like reading by overanalyzing reading material. No on fucking likes doing that except nutty english teachers. And now you have kids that hate reading which is not only a valuable skill, but something that increases their knowledge of the world around them.

I enjoy history, half the music I listen to is about military history, I watch a youtube channel talking about said songs, and I am reading a book rn about the Ottomans and the Habsburgs, I'm definitely the minority

I've expanded my tastes in music. So I like of course Sabaton, but I can dig into historical songs, chants, and all other stuff
