@ThiccSpicyGenderRevealParty yes, best song

2020-10-27 23:03:35 UTC

gustavus adolfus is pretty banger though

2020-10-27 23:04:02 UTC

(lion form the north)

2020-10-27 23:05:35 UTC

Yeah, the whole Carolus Rex album is great

2020-10-27 23:05:40 UTC

I love the swedish version too

2020-10-27 23:07:58 UTC

best feminist song ever was writen by sabaton about some of the greatest feminists

2020-10-27 23:09:25 UTC

also resist and bite is good

2020-10-27 23:12:40 UTC

I don't treat Night Witches as a feminist song, I treat it as a song about heroes regardless of gender

2020-10-27 23:19:58 UTC

well put, a true and wise feminist

2020-10-27 23:20:10 UTC

we should all aspire to think like that

2020-10-28 00:21:14 UTC

> Most of the German military was not actually mechanized but they didn’t put the foot troops and horse drawn arty in the propaganda movies. It was still a lot more than what Poland had though
@yeti_steamroller that’s one of the leading theories why Operation Barbarossa failed. The red army let the Germans in, and all they had to do was cut their fragile supply line.

2020-10-28 01:05:39 UTC

huh thats what they did the Napoleon

2020-10-28 08:25:36 UTC

One theory was one of Napoleons leaders didn't take Napoleon's command and did his own thing which led to a bad backlash

2020-10-28 08:25:56 UTC

But I need to find a video explaining it better than i can

2020-10-28 13:26:32 UTC

heard about Poltava?

2020-10-28 14:16:09 UTC

POLTAVA!

2020-10-28 14:16:23 UTC

Listen excuse for a king!

2020-10-28 14:16:32 UTC

Trust me, this fight you can't win!

2020-10-28 14:16:48 UTC

Long story short, yes, I have heard about Poltava

2020-10-28 17:11:20 UTC

Not the song, (though amazing) the interesting thing is the swedes where winning and had momentum, but they were ordered, not by the king (who?) to hold instead of advance and then they died

2020-10-28 17:37:49 UTC

They lost because the long trek down, through the harsh winter, because they were promised troops by someone else, only got a fraction of those troops, and didn't have the numbers or supplies to hold out

2020-10-28 17:39:42 UTC

true, I understand the context but once the battle started carolus just charged them head on which the russians were supprised by, taking half of the russain redoubts and the running russians from the fron disturbed the main russian line, but then they stopped

2020-10-28 17:55:02 UTC

I believe part of why the swedes started losing had to do with the fact that the King pulled a ww1 and got hit in the head by a sharpshooter

2020-10-28 17:57:45 UTC

that was after poltava though

2020-10-28 18:18:28 UTC

ah i see

2020-10-28 20:11:38 UTC

So I picked this model kit up at Good Will, and was surprised it came with all the parts it needed to build it. But I had a question, and that was what era is this tank? Looks WWII to me, but I suck at history, so idk.

It’s a KV-II, idk if that helps

2020-10-28 20:13:20 UTC

early russian tank WW2, during operation barbarrosa and before the russian counter attack, they were still in use but no longer produced

2020-10-28 20:13:26 UTC

2020-10-28 20:13:42 UTC

goodwill is amazing

2020-10-28 20:17:15 UTC

Yeah, I thought it was a pretty good find 😂 thanks for the facts

2020-10-28 21:08:00 UTC

@ThiccSpicyGenderRevealParty Sounds like you're talking about Carolus Rex, unless this happened to another Swedish king... except Carolus was hit in the chest I think

2020-10-28 23:24:36 UTC

no, is was hea

2020-10-28 23:24:39 UTC

head

2020-10-28 23:27:37 UTC

I could've sworn he was hit in the chest, but given how he was standing in the trench getting hit in the head would make sense

2020-10-28 23:27:50 UTC

I'm thinking of Gustavus Adolphus, he was hit in the chest

2020-10-29 00:21:23 UTC

gustavus was hit in the chest twice and then shot in the temple

2020-10-29 02:12:43 UTC

> So I picked this model kit up at Good Will, and was surprised it came with all the parts it needed to build it. But I had a question, and that was what era is this tank? Looks WWII to me, but I suck at history, so idk.
@MynLlama 🦙 You my friend are one lucky bastard because you not only found an intact KV2 kit, you found one thats by tamiya, who have a reputation of making high quality kits

2020-10-29 02:13:42 UTC

Yo nice
