@chaz yes it is, thats how it starts, then its a total registration of firearms, then certain types are banned, even more are then lost, then the 2nd amendment is abolished entirely, that is how it works and how it will end if you give up so much as a single firearm

Some of you 2A defenders do a great job using the Constitution and statistics to show why guns are better for self defense. But here is a paper arguing why that is ultimately irrelevant: Your right to bear arms is a derivative right. If you have a right to life, you necessarily have a right to defend it by whatever means you can use to preserve yourself, including firearms. The "death tolls" that may come when arming a nation is a huge red herring.
