Lunch time comes and she just makes a simple lunch nothing too complicated oh, some cold meats and cheeses some nuts and she turns to me and goes what what do you want to drink for lunch you can have water or you can have beer and I don't suggest the water
And this whole conversation occurred in German
The funny thing is is my mom's side of the family is Irish my dad's side of the family is German
Some one of those weird people that can eat corned beef and then just go devour a plate of sauerkraut
Nice
@BobiusPrime Irish people are nice but we're being taken over by the woke left and feminists
Unfortunately Europe has kind of falling in large part and it's been going that way since probably about the 1970s
Europe was never founded on a set of guiding principles like America was, you have been a going concern for as long as history exists
Yep
So your principles and can ball where ours were set in stone in late 1700s English liberalism
The only thing that could save Europe right now would be if we could take Britain and Germany and give them their 1880s governments
Yeah
In large part I'm not saying both of those would be perfect
But they'd be better than now
the problem is y'all let the French exist
Fuck the french
Prince just seems to find a way to mess everything up throughout history
It's a kind of telling sign it's always considered a great achievement of conquer France
France and England are one in the same when it comes to shitty government
Okay I was mostly more thinking about Caesar and the prussians both conquering France
Could you imagine how much better the world would have been if the prussians did not return France to the French

Let's please at least try to keep stuff in the proper room...
Sorry I did kind of drift there
I will say this though about Europe's history with guns, it's pretty telling that in the moments before Gavrilo Princip assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand triggering the first world war he was in a city park shooting a pistol oh, could you imagine doing that in Europe today
Hell, we can't even do that in America today
I mean for Christ's sakes the first gun laws that they use as justification for all subsequent gun laws were basically orders to not fire cannons inside city limits
And not to leave loaded guns lying around, unfortunately black powder weapons of the era sometimes have a bad habit of being set off on accident by falling over
Or a spark or an Ember would get to the powder
They weren't restricting you from buying Cannon oh, you could really buy a cannon with no government authorization required whatsoever oh, could you imagine that today just being able to go down to the gun store and go yeah I'll take a Glock 19 oh, and AR-15, oh and that 105 mm Mountain Howitzer I will take one of those as well
Is there any law that actually prevents you from buying a cannon in a free state? It's kinda Simi auto and as long as the barrel is long enough...
A cannon?
Maybe some states. But I believe its legal
Is considered a destructive device according to the ATF and is restricted in several States
But yes you can legally own a cannon in the US
Even to this day but it's very restricted even in states where it is legal
If you want a good quick like 051 course on our 2nd amendment this is a great starting point video into getting the history of the topic, it's place in English common law and how it was viewed at the time and applied to society by the founding fathers

Hate to say it... but you might be wrong here
They're not even considered a firearm and have no regulation.
