Innovation at its finest

It's cheap, reliable, and easy to maintain. Nothing goes better than an AK!

shame they're not legal in Canada...

2020-06-22 11:39:46 UTC

Technically the draganov isn't an ak. Its a marksman rifle designed to be out of an range and just be good enough for large numbers of snipers to units.

For my first gun, does anyone recommend Glock G19 Gen5?

2020-06-22 12:46:54 UTC

What’s the purpose of the gun? Range toy? Concealed carry?

2020-06-22 13:00:56 UTC

@Miater I would have it for personal protection at home and I would definetly use it on the range sometimes.

2020-06-22 13:01:22 UTC

@Thunder yeah, Glocks are the best in my opinion

2020-06-22 13:01:29 UTC

Glock 19 is a great option. I swap between my Glock 19 and my p365.

2020-06-22 13:01:59 UTC

Ok, thanks that sounds perfect. I am also thinking about a taser, but I'll see.

2020-06-22 13:02:00 UTC

Personally I like my p365 more.

2020-06-22 13:07:37 UTC

Any thoughts about buying a taser? I know that cartridges are like 70 bucks.

2020-06-22 13:10:16 UTC

Personally if I feel threatened enough to pull a weapon, in my opinion, they have forfeited their life. There are very few if any places I can think of where you can carry a taser but not a gun so carrying it when you can't carry a pistol doesn't seem to help.

2020-06-22 13:10:25 UTC

Id skip.

2020-06-22 13:10:54 UTC

Tasers are not always effective in a situation. If even 1 probe misses you are pretty much fucked. If they dont make good contact you pretty much just insta-pissed off whoever you were shooting it at

2020-06-22 13:11:32 UTC

plus ive seen situations where some folks are just not affected by them even with a good connect

2020-06-22 13:11:43 UTC

They are also one shot unlike a pistol that even in the small side will give you at least 5 shots.

2020-06-22 13:12:23 UTC

I agree with david. if you're in a situation that you feel you need a weapon for self defense, go big (firearm) or go home. In life and death situations where is no such thing as "being nice".

2020-06-22 13:12:39 UTC

the goal is to end the threat. period

2020-06-22 13:13:19 UTC

That's true, thanks for the opinions!

2020-06-22 13:13:25 UTC

It's better to be judged by twelve than to be carried by six

2020-06-22 13:13:49 UTC

Indeed, then I am just getting a Glock.

2020-06-22 13:14:04 UTC

no worries man. Another thing with tasers, there is a small percentage of the population that it can cause cardiac issues with. Its designed to be less than lethal, but it doesnt always work that way. just thinking in a litigation kind of way

2020-06-22 13:14:45 UTC

Plus if you ever had to use it against someone, you'd likely be sued. Theyd question your training, etc. tasers are a big mess of "Nope"

2020-06-22 13:17:15 UTC

Active self-protection doesn't hesitate to say that tasers are only effective about 50% of the time

2020-06-22 13:17:28 UTC

And that they are less than lethal

2020-06-22 13:17:38 UTC

In a life-and-death situation you really should just trust a gun

2020-06-22 13:17:51 UTC

^ 100% this

2020-06-22 13:17:56 UTC

Ok, thanks. As you said, if I would ever feel endangered, I would use lethal weapon.

2020-06-22 13:18:01 UTC

I use one in my work, but i almost wish i didnt lol

2020-06-22 13:18:02 UTC

Yeah that's true.

2020-06-22 13:18:12 UTC

The ideas that you are one step above the threat they are presenting

2020-06-22 13:18:20 UTC

If they are unarmed then you use a Taser

2020-06-22 13:18:43 UTC

But if they have lethal force on them like a knife, a stabbing implement, or even something like pepper spray

2020-06-22 13:18:53 UTC

Then you go to the next level above that which is lethal

2020-06-22 13:19:00 UTC

So typically a gun
