We still won though

2020-06-29 17:40:01 UTC

Tin can sailors are a tough bunch

2020-06-29 17:40:27 UTC

Ernest E. Evans.

2020-06-29 17:41:24 UTC

One of the best and unfortunately one of the most underrated captains America has ever had.

2020-06-29 17:41:54 UTC

Glad the History channel did him justice in their Dogfights series.

2020-06-29 17:42:08 UTC

(Back when the History channel was actually worth heck)

2020-06-29 17:44:58 UTC

The name sounds familiar

2020-06-29 17:45:07 UTC

What vessel was under his command

2020-06-29 17:47:47 UTC

USS Johnston.

2020-06-29 17:49:12 UTC

Ah

2020-06-29 17:49:16 UTC

Yes

2020-06-29 17:49:30 UTC

I figured but wasn't sure

2020-06-29 17:49:56 UTC

I met a sailor from uss hoel

2020-06-29 19:50:59 UTC

I my father met a sailor from the vestal, the ship parked next to the Arizona at Pearl Harbor

2020-06-29 20:14:19 UTC

Yeah

2020-06-29 20:23:46 UTC

Damn

2020-06-29 20:53:02 UTC

Anyone know anything about firearm repair? Specifically with an ar style rifle. Did some practice yesterday and now its sorta broken

2020-06-29 20:53:20 UTC

If anything I could just use the name of the part that fell off

2020-06-29 20:53:37 UTC

Lemme see the part

2020-06-29 20:53:38 UTC

I've checked google and am having trouble

2020-06-29 20:54:39 UTC

Let me see the part

2020-06-29 20:55:07 UTC
2020-06-29 20:55:31 UTC

Send a pic of the part

2020-06-29 20:55:38 UTC

The part is what holds the rear attaching pin in place to connect the upper and lower

2020-06-29 20:55:57 UTC

Sorry for potato quality

2020-06-29 20:55:58 UTC

So what seems to be the problem

2020-06-29 20:56:25 UTC

The rear attaching pin for the lower has a small detent that keeps it from sliding completely out

2020-06-29 20:56:47 UTC

It seems it either sheered off or somehow loosened and fell out

2020-06-29 20:56:53 UTC

Hmm

2020-06-29 20:57:25 UTC

You might have to twist the pin or look with a flashlight for any damage

2020-06-29 20:57:54 UTC

Yeah

2020-06-29 20:58:03 UTC

One of my favorite toys

2020-06-29 20:58:06 UTC

I'd help if I could but considering I've never even held an AR style rifle I wouldn't know 😅

2020-06-29 20:58:30 UTC

If it sheered off then you’ll have to go to a machinist to have it put back

2020-06-29 20:58:36 UTC

I have minimal experience with Ar 15s

2020-06-29 20:58:36 UTC

Nice toy

2020-06-29 20:58:38 UTC

I looked. On the front pin there is a small detent on the front pin in place that "clicks" into place when you either put it all the way in or pull it out for maitenance

2020-06-29 20:59:16 UTC

The rear one no longer has one. I was more or less hoping someone knew what it was called so I can call a local smith

2020-06-29 20:59:37 UTC

Look for the detent and if it’s not there you’ll need a new pin or you’ll need a machinist to put one on the pin
