Its not illegal if it does it on its own! (Which sks's do have a habit). Just dont ever clean it and it will do it all by itself.

2020-07-10 23:54:10 UTC

xD

2020-07-10 23:54:53 UTC

Ehhh, I'll still try to avoid that. ATF has put at least one guy in prison for what seemed to be honestly unintentional hammer follow on a shit-tier AR (Olympic).

2020-07-10 23:55:43 UTC

... Is Oly even around anymore? They were bad. Even worse than Model 1 Sales. I've seen tons of AK front sights canted. Only ever seen M1S manage to do it on an AR.

2020-07-10 23:55:43 UTC

2020-07-10 23:56:04 UTC

huh?

2020-07-10 23:56:32 UTC

@Sage my AK had a canted sight and gas block. Bound up the whole carrier.

2020-07-10 23:56:39 UTC

Romanian garbage

2020-07-10 23:57:37 UTC

Yeah, my Romy G has a canted front sight. Doesn't bind up. Won't feed HP ammo for crap, though. It's all good. Ended up dropping a Comp M2/low ring combo on an ULTIMAK. AK sights are terrible.

2020-07-10 23:59:43 UTC

I straightened everything out, made a new gas piston from steel round stock, polished the face of the hammer and shortened the claws on the trigger for better pull (so touchy it fires if you set it down too hard). All in all its a good plinker for rabbits and such.

2020-07-11 00:01:12 UTC

My main is a Ruger AR with a nice trigger, 16" 1 in 8 barrel, and a fixed 4x optic. My other toy is an A2 model that overlaps groups at 100

2020-07-11 00:04:36 UTC

My first AK trigger job was doing some messing around on the disconnector to make it a 2 stage. Figured out how to do that by playing with a match-built Garand and its NM trigger. Worked for a while, but the spacer I put in for the disconnect spring wore down so now I just use an ALG trigger.

2020-07-11 00:05:34 UTC

That Garand was fun. Would mess people up when I'd set it on the bench and then pull out a box of .308.

2020-07-11 00:06:45 UTC

@AMERICANFREEDOM [CEO OF FREEDOM] yes still in working condition

2020-07-11 00:06:52 UTC

OH nice!

2020-07-11 00:10:02 UTC

All matching numbers; I love it

2020-07-11 17:18:52 UTC

Oh dear, something seems to have followed me home from the gun show today.

2020-07-11 17:20:53 UTC

I promise to give it a good home!

2020-07-11 17:46:08 UTC

Would probably be banned here...

2020-07-11 17:48:36 UTC

anyone else hate that i need a "permit" to exercise a constitutional right?

2020-07-11 17:49:06 UTC

tbh i think gun permits are stupid

2020-07-11 17:49:21 UTC

They're dumb.

2020-07-11 17:49:49 UTC

speaking of guns what kind of rifle would be best for someone who's never shot a gun before and has never owned one

2020-07-11 17:50:08 UTC

i remember someone telling me in terms a pistols a glock would be a good fit

2020-07-11 17:50:22 UTC

but i'm also interested in rifles and shotguns

2020-07-11 17:51:31 UTC

You need to go out an do some plinking with 22LR (rifles and pistols) before you graduate to the bigger stuff.

2020-07-11 17:52:38 UTC

what is "plinking?"

2020-07-11 17:52:38 UTC

> speaking of guns what kind of rifle would be best for someone who's never shot a gun before and has never owned one
@Innocentsmith S.C.A AR15. Simple, reliable, light, low-recoil, powerful enough for about anything.

2020-07-11 17:52:40 UTC

Don't listen to people who try to force you into specific guns or brans, it all comes down to what you like and feel comfortable with. Don't drink the Glockboi Kool-Aid, do some research and find what fits well for you.

2020-07-11 17:52:52 UTC

understood

2020-07-11 17:53:22 UTC

Plinking is informal target shooting.

2020-07-11 17:53:29 UTC

i see

2020-07-11 17:54:15 UTC

before this stupid covid shit happened i was trying to go to a gun range with friends and shoot my first gun

2020-07-11 17:54:23 UTC

Personally speaking I have 2 carry guns, an M&P Shield 9 and a Sig P238 (two different calibers and manufactures( but good guns for me

2020-07-11 17:54:52 UTC

my wife carries an M&P EZ 380, it's what fits her.

2020-07-11 17:54:59 UTC

My favorite suggestion for someone looking to get into handguns is the Smith M&P 9mm.

2020-07-11 17:55:13 UTC

i always thought revolvers were cool but i should probably focus more on how well it functions and works instead of how it looks

2020-07-11 17:55:21 UTC

Home defence is a Mossberg 500 Tactical

2020-07-11 17:55:26 UTC

what about a colt 1911?
