I would never carry one they are good looking though

2020-07-19 22:02:23 UTC

Yeah idk what I'll carry.

2020-07-19 22:02:35 UTC

I love the grip safety though

2020-07-19 22:03:39 UTC

Don't need a safety if you got a good holster

2020-07-19 22:03:59 UTC

Safety is keeping your finger off the trigger

2020-07-19 22:21:06 UTC

Some states require mechanical safety mechanisms that are not integrated with the trigger. My SD 40 has only a trigger safety that disengages when the trigger is squeezed. 1911s have 3 seperate safety features. The grip disconnect, the safety selector, and half cock. In utah you need to perform 2 mechanical actions in order to open carry with one in the chamber. The safety selector and half cock meet that requirement.

Open carry is not really that good

2020-07-19 22:22:00 UTC

You are giving away the element of surprise

2020-07-19 22:22:44 UTC

Open carry is far more effective than concealed. Its a deterrent above all. And I can draw much faster from an open carry as opposed to concealed

2020-07-19 22:23:01 UTC

Gotta practice conceal carry draw

2020-07-19 22:23:07 UTC

Can be really fast

2020-07-19 22:23:30 UTC

If they see open carry they will be more careful with you and probably take your gun

2020-07-19 22:24:12 UTC

Ever heard of the 21 foot rule?

2020-07-19 22:24:51 UTC

If you have an attacker, in an open carry scenario, he needs to be at least 21 feet away in order to draw and shoot

2020-07-19 22:25:03 UTC

Concealed is much farther

2020-07-19 22:25:10 UTC

You never know when a situation can happen if they see you got a gun they will sneakily target you first

2020-07-19 22:27:11 UTC

Or just shoot you outright cuz they see you got a gun in your hip

2020-07-19 22:28:01 UTC

Yeah this isnt the movies homes. People dont get shot over open carry. People who open carry shoot back.

2020-07-19 22:28:17 UTC

Armed societies are polite societies

2020-07-19 22:28:31 UTC

I'm not thinking about movies more what has actually happened to police officers by robbers here

2020-07-19 22:28:51 UTC

They sneak up to the officer and just take his gun

2020-07-19 22:28:52 UTC

Yes that Wendy's shooting was over a stolen taser

2020-07-19 22:29:04 UTC

Not Wendy's talking about my area

2020-07-19 22:29:19 UTC

Must be very "diverse".

2020-07-19 22:29:31 UTC

I live in the Hood

2020-07-19 22:30:05 UTC

Open carry wouldn't work here

2020-07-19 22:30:21 UTC

You would get your gun taken and get jumped

2020-07-19 22:32:22 UTC

Which means you would suffer the same fate as if you concealed. If you get jumped, its because you were not aware of your surroundings. If you have your gun stolen, its because you let someone get that close.

Conceal vs open carry doesnt matter in your "hood". Situational awareness matters

2020-07-19 22:34:58 UTC

Let's say your in a gas station theirs a line someones behind you takes your gun what you gonna do

2020-07-19 22:35:18 UTC

That's what happened to the officer

2020-07-19 22:36:24 UTC

Its called hand to hand combat.

2020-07-19 22:36:43 UTC

The federal government spent alot of money on me. Im not concerned

2020-07-19 22:36:46 UTC

Then you get sucker punched by the guy that was looking at the chips

2020-07-19 22:38:00 UTC

And the other 3 carriers in that line at the gas station get in on it. I live in a rural area. Not very diverse. People here dont take kindly to hoosiers starting crap like that.

2020-07-19 22:38:23 UTC

Here not many people carry

2020-07-19 22:38:27 UTC

We live in 2 separate worlds.

2020-07-19 22:38:37 UTC

Everyone carries in Missouri

2020-07-19 22:40:18 UTC

Besides, it takes more than you know to steal a gun from a holster with some kind of latch. You should try it with a friend. If you get your gun taken, its your fault.

2020-07-19 22:40:55 UTC

They knew the cop holster is hard to take from the were felons
