2020-08-17 18:36:38 UTC

Not a bad idea lol. Me and my family might go to Idaho sometime to visit family so I'll have to if we end up going

The 9mm HP only expands to just over a half inch whereas the .45 HP expands to over 3/4". Since pistols dont create the massive temp cavities, the permanent cavity is what causes the damage. .45 HP bullets will do 60% + more damage than a 9mm HP. There is no replacement for displacement. .45 is the winner.

Also, shoot a 9mm and a .45 at a 55 gallon drum and tell me which one has more penetration. There is a reason I carry a .45 as my EDC.

☝️

2020-08-17 21:14:29 UTC

fun fact I learned last night: when 50 cal rounds were used against the Killdozer they did not penetrate and barely made a dent in the armor

2020-08-17 21:27:29 UTC

@A Person Because the Killdozer had like 3 inches of slopped steel armor

2020-08-17 21:27:48 UTC

.50 cal only penetrates like an inch to an inch and half at most

2020-08-17 21:27:54 UTC

yeah at some points a foot of steel armor

2020-08-17 21:28:11 UTC

I never thought id say this but I didnt know a 50 cal was so weak

2020-08-18 01:46:50 UTC

It's considered 'anti-material', not anti-tank

2020-08-18 02:08:54 UTC

I mean as far as "anti-material" it's pretty low on the spectrum.

2020-08-18 02:52:50 UTC

@A Person I have a keen suspicion they weren't using anything special. Basic ball. The real reason the deflected was because of the angle of trajectory. A .308 will bounce off a windshield of a car at shallow angles. Still breaks the glass but deflects the shot.

2020-08-18 03:04:08 UTC

The killdozer used a composite of steel and concrete. If anything gets through the steel it will smack into a hard concrete block. The steel is soft and gooey compared to concrete, but concrete is extremely brittle.

2020-08-18 03:06:08 UTC

In a real battle situation its useless. Tanks have limited view. Even modern ones. Thats why they always have infantry protecting them.

2020-08-18 03:07:39 UTC

And artillery protecting the infantry, as well as air support, etc. Overwhelming, concentrated firepower.

Anyone have a gun that can take out 30-45 protestors every 30 seconds

2020-08-18 16:47:30 UTC

Rioters or protesters? Those are not 2 peas in a pod @Slick Vic

2020-08-18 16:55:48 UTC

If you ask the media rioters don't exist

2020-08-18 16:58:09 UTC

@HUNTER4639 rioters I meant

2020-08-18 17:02:39 UTC

Lol alright all I own is a Ruger 10/22 eheheheh

2020-08-18 17:03:00 UTC

Get a 110 round drum though and it'll do the job πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
