2020-08-26 03:26:03 UTC

That's a Saiga

2020-08-26 03:26:08 UTC

Yup

2020-08-26 03:26:14 UTC

Why don't you do a proper conversion on it though?

2020-08-26 03:26:22 UTC

They're pre-cut for it

2020-08-26 03:26:58 UTC

There's a plate on the bottom of the receiver where the trigger is, it's held in by two rivets. Machine those out with a flat endmill or spot drill and drill em out

2020-08-26 03:27:41 UTC

Oh boy would I love to make it as it was meant to be lol take it thats like drilling the 3rd hole on a ar

2020-08-26 03:28:00 UTC

922r conversion wouldn't be treated like that

2020-08-26 03:28:16 UTC

The trick there is using enough American made parts

2020-08-26 03:29:45 UTC

Guess am new to that one I picked that ak up about 4 months ago for 600 guy needed the money

2020-08-26 03:30:25 UTC

That's a good deal. Those rifles are hard to come by and they're of very good quality

2020-08-26 03:31:19 UTC

Only thing i had done to it was got the barrel re capped which my gunsmith did

2020-08-26 03:31:43 UTC

Here's the first of a series of videos, this guy converts his saiga

2020-08-26 03:32:10 UTC

They're kind of long, so if you have questions, ping me and I'll try to help you

2020-08-26 03:32:10 UTC

So what does the converts do

2020-08-26 03:32:40 UTC

Allows you to use true AK furniture and magazines

2020-08-26 03:33:15 UTC

Side by side comparison

2020-08-26 03:33:30 UTC

One on the bottom is how they're imported

2020-08-26 03:33:43 UTC

Oh ya that part does kinda suck I have to get only true saiga mags

2020-08-26 03:33:53 UTC

Or pro mag which sucks

2020-08-26 03:34:11 UTC

Do you have a drill press?

2020-08-26 03:34:31 UTC

Yup i have a shop

2020-08-26 03:34:43 UTC

There's a part you can buy that's called a bullet guide

2020-08-26 03:35:01 UTC

You drill into the trunnion and tap it with a 6-32 tap, screw in the guide

2020-08-26 03:35:06 UTC

All you need to run real AK mags

2020-08-26 03:35:27 UTC

Nice thanks all have to look into that

2020-08-26 03:35:39 UTC

I'll get you a link

2020-08-26 03:36:38 UTC

And like I said, feel free to ping me if you ever have any questions. I have one of these rifles, too, so I've had to research this stuff

2020-08-26 03:37:09 UTC

This i picked up for 550 like two months agon

2020-08-26 03:37:30 UTC

Lmao

2020-08-26 03:37:35 UTC

I have that exact light on my saiga

2020-08-26 03:37:40 UTC

I bookmarked it

2020-08-26 03:38:11 UTC

If you have a shop, doing a 6-32 tap should be a walk in the park for ya

2020-08-26 03:38:27 UTC

I like that light its not high end but gets the job done

2020-08-26 03:38:39 UTC

If it works, thats all that matters

2020-08-26 03:38:52 UTC

ca n anyone tell me what the gun at 3:25 in this video is?
