You ever try my idea out?

2020-08-30 02:20:43 UTC

Not yet been busy polishing some concrete

2020-08-30 02:20:58 UTC

Ah gotcha

2020-08-30 02:21:14 UTC

Well I hope it works out for you

2020-08-30 02:21:20 UTC

The job that pays the bills

2020-08-30 02:21:30 UTC

Me too

2020-08-30 02:22:27 UTC

The only way it would be pushing the bullets up too high when it picks em up is if something is directing them that way

2020-08-30 02:47:41 UTC

@f***urfeelings @ThatShadyVandal What website did you use?

2020-08-30 02:47:49 UTC

For what

2020-08-30 02:48:03 UTC

To buy the parts @ThatShadyVandal

2020-08-30 02:48:21 UTC

Honestly, there's so many of them that you can just pick by preference

2020-08-30 02:48:37 UTC

Brownells, primary arms, those are the first two that come to mind

2020-08-30 02:48:45 UTC

But there's so many more

2020-08-30 02:49:31 UTC

Hmm I’ll look more into that & honestly I was just picking 5.56 because the ammo is cheaper.

2020-08-30 02:50:01 UTC

I want to stock pile ammo and 308 is like 8$ more a box (pre covid)

2020-08-30 02:50:51 UTC

Right now, it wouldn't be a bad idea to look into getting into hand loading your ammo

2020-08-30 02:51:17 UTC

Ammo is hard to come by

2020-08-30 02:51:55 UTC

@Odb What do you want your rifle to be able to do? Are you looking for a close range gun or a long range gun?

2020-08-30 02:54:25 UTC

Tbh I probably won’t take it to the range that often. I kind of wanted a Swiss Army knife apocalypse type of weapon. I suppose a 308 would be more suited for that because it can shoot long range. I was just being cheap lol I was thinking about getting a POF Revolution @ThatShadyVandal

2020-08-30 02:54:51 UTC

If you're looking at an SHTF gun, I don't see you needing to go beyond 300 yards

2020-08-30 02:55:22 UTC

You're not gonna be able to identify somebody as a potential threat at that distance unless they're shooting at you first

2020-08-30 02:56:25 UTC

Yeah that’s true. I’m gonna look into building a rifle, see if YouTube can help a guy out.

2020-08-30 02:57:13 UTC

If you run a 20 inch barrel or even an 18 inch barrel, and you get good, you can hit at like 460 meters accurately with 556

2020-08-30 02:57:21 UTC

Whatever that happens to be in yards

2020-08-30 02:57:30 UTC

Roughly 500

2020-08-30 02:58:10 UTC

If you have a 1 MOA gun, which isn't hard to do with an AR, you're talkin about a 5 inch group at 500

2020-08-30 02:59:30 UTC

Yeah that would be sweet. I’ll probably keep the 9mm banshee. Just Incase they pass some assault rifle ban in the future atleast I’ll be able to maximize pistol ammo, which would still be available. @ThatShadyVandal thanks for the help homie!

2020-08-30 02:59:51 UTC

Oh, one other thing since you mentioned 9mm

2020-08-30 03:00:02 UTC

You can build a 9mm upper for your AR, too

2020-08-30 03:00:31 UTC

Then that'll give you some flexibility in your calibers

2020-08-30 03:01:40 UTC

Add me as a friend too, if you want, I'm more than happy to help you out

2020-08-30 03:03:09 UTC

Thats your last shot bolt hold open

2020-08-30 03:51:55 UTC

It works like the slide release on a pistol

2020-08-30 03:59:06 UTC

Thoughts on Pawn shops for firearms?

2020-08-30 03:59:14 UTC

Good? Bad?

2020-08-30 03:59:24 UTC

Never been to one before

2020-08-30 04:00:19 UTC

If you know how to evaluate a gun's condition, I'd say there's nothing wrong with going that route

2020-08-30 04:02:35 UTC

Considering I don't know how to evaluate I should probably steer clear? 😅

2020-08-30 04:02:47 UTC

No, you should learn how to evaluate
