@Ironman I'm building the lower on a 6.5 grendel now, and yeah people give it a thumbs down for some reason, usually people who don't know how good a round it actually is, but anyways mine is a 20" 5R rifling, would you put a rifle length gas system on it? And what is the proper weight for the buffer? I've heard mixed opinions from h2, h3, but I was thinking it would be best to go with a rifle buffer weight..
Depends entirely on the weight of the round. Heavier rounds will work better for rifle length tubes. Lighter rounds do better with carbine length. Your buffer will be matched to the gas system. A heavy round on a short tube will need a stiffer spring. And vice versa.
The barrel is 1-7 twist so heavier rounds, I cant remember offhand what I have but it's the hornady black generally, lately anything I can find, I do have some wolf ammo which is lighter but it's only for plinking
I want to say 123gr hornady
I thought i knew alot about guns, but this channel has taught me i dont know shit
Haha I hear ya @TheChicken789
Lots of knowledge here tbh from more than a few of these guys
Yes
the most complicated thing i know on guns is just how ak's do the auto pew
Yeah, I just know a bunch of gun designs and names
I don’t rlly know how they work
> @Winnie37a thanks, I wasn't sure....it appears in good shape
@Aperfectghost yea I’m about to order wood grips
Gun knowledge is an ever learning process folks, I sure even iron man has gaps in his knowhow...for me I'm becoming knowledgable about the popular Firearms out in the industry.
My love of the pew life.... started at a young age....into Military life and war...to a fun pastime w family and alot of tinkering ....I've started my way into becoming an armorer
every time i use the gunsmith option in Warzone it kind of hurts to because i know thats not how half that shit works
*ahem ahem* ak stocks *ahem ahem*
I haven't played COD in a long time
hmm
warzone is kinda fun
and with the release of zombies and such for COD cold war, they're considering adding a zombies mode to Warzone
It does but not really into BR games.....plus more and more my schedule comes between me and Gaming
Cyberpunk 2077 is coming out soon too its about the only game I'm excited about
Though cod cold war looks good so far
Just picked up 200 rds of 9mm fmj for $60... now I'm wondering if I should go online and sell it for $230
Yes<:KEK:726877368601411624>
Call it **GOCRAZYPEW**
Only thing is I've been trying to find these for months now and I REALLY want to go shred some paper
For sure scrapeing the bottom of my 1500r drum 😭
For 9mm
I hate you
@GoCRAZY my buddy runs 123gr through his 6.5. He does well with the rifle length gas tube and an off the shelf 5.56 buffer spring. Twist rate on his is 1 in 8. There really is no such thing as "over twist". The lighter bullets need to spin faster to stabilize than heavier. Once a certain spin is made per given weight its golden. Anything more doesnt hurt.
@Aperfectghost You are 100% correct. I dont know everything. I learn every day with every gun that makes it into my hand. Hell glocks are even changing year to year so much I almost need to take a class on the new generations coming out.
Yea I got to go to a refresher course on glocks to, I had just gotten my glock cert. a year ago@Ironman
Thanks Ironman that answered my question perfectly
I'm probably going to grab the geissele rifle length spring a bit quieter than the flat springs and more durable, and not too expensive
