nah man, I dont use a scope. I spend my money on ammo :/

2020-10-20 18:20:42 UTC

random Q for you guys. assuming you dont have children/untrustworthy peeps in the house, do you think its safe to keep guns hidden and accessible but not locked up, provided the bulk of the ammo is locked up? i.e., I was thinking that if I someday get a place in the suburbs or country where crime risk is low, I would prefer to have at least a gun or two ready to grab with mags near by. Not sure how wise that would be though. :/

or always carry an old trusty dusty 1911 under your pants

2020-10-20 18:23:07 UTC

valid point. on person is always best.

2020-10-20 18:29:37 UTC

@sixfivebyfiftyfive make a secret room in your house or even in just your walls. Easy to do

2020-10-20 18:29:54 UTC

Assuming you have tools and are good with your hands

2020-10-20 18:30:32 UTC

ye, i guess that's an option. it'd be a good place to keep money too I reckon.

2020-10-20 18:31:35 UTC

Cut a hole in your dry wall & frame the opening, then put a mirror or picture over it & have a locking mechanism that can be undone with a magnet. Easy way to store a gun near by

2020-10-20 18:32:06 UTC

I think they even sell custom kits for things like that

mmm nice. magnet might be an unnecessary step unless I wanted it to be really hidden. My whole reason for wanting to not store my gun in a safe is to make it easier to get to, quickly and quietly. I think a false wall in a closet probably is a good idea though.

2020-10-20 18:35:39 UTC

sweet mirror thing btw. that could work too

@sixfivebyfiftyfive seems reasonable

2020-10-20 18:44:13 UTC

2020-10-20 18:49:29 UTC

Lock still wont work (oof) gonna try getting a lock tech and if that doesnt work well I guess its just gonna have to be cut open

2020-10-20 18:50:08 UTC

My dad simply has a small (16 gun) safe. He keepsit unlocked when he's at home and locked when he's not.

2020-10-20 18:50:11 UTC

2020-10-20 18:51:15 UTC

2020-10-20 18:53:07 UTC

I agree one gun aint enough. You need some for your neighbors, your horses, and your dog also.

2020-10-20 18:53:49 UTC

Bro this isn't communism I'm not buying a gun for my neighbors <:CursedEmoji:763140778770825247>

2020-10-20 18:54:38 UTC

I think its ridiculous that you can mount a GAU-8 Avenger to your truck

2020-10-20 18:54:43 UTC

cant

2020-10-20 18:55:48 UTC

BRCC's Vulcan Prius begs to differ...

2020-10-20 19:10:00 UTC

1 gun per 10 feet of the house sounds reasonable

2020-10-20 19:11:56 UTC

Someone posted this a while ago but it got me thinking lol. I’ve got an extra revolver I am about to throw in some tupperware and keep in the shower lol

2020-10-20 23:02:33 UTC

So any one got one of those custom looking ars. Staying in the UK is crazy our gun control laws are so strict.
So I look on in envy at some of the cool shit you get in the US

2020-10-20 23:16:08 UTC

Define "custom looking"
