ok but hear me out, can a gun fire a metal net a decently low velocity?

On paper, a shotgun with a wad can handle that. Would be a very small net though

you'd need a cannon for that

Yeah I don't think a net could fit in a gun barrel, and if it did it wouldn't have proper velocity to really do anything

a metal net is NOT doable with guns

That's why I suggested an air cannon

even if you get it to SOMEHOW deploy to fit a net of any usable size you'd need a custom caliber

now a graphene based net MAYBE but graphene is...... it's hard to make.
