Good looking tango blade
My dad built me a PSA 18” 6.5 Grendel, can’t take any pictures, but I wanted to know if anyone had shot one, and if so if they had any tips as for using them. (Deer hunting wise)
man I wish I had the money for an AR...
well, to be fair my dad sells guns for a living and got an employee discount so,,
never fired a grendel or shot a deer, but get out and practice. Even if all you can afford to do is buy a two-pack of snap caps, get some trigger time and learn how to use your gun. That probably goes without saying though! :)
Noice
yeah, haha. i mean i’ve shot a grendel before, im just short, a teenager, and inexperienced in the hunting field.
You'll grow, Im sure. and exp comes with time and practice. best of luck!
Izzy I've not shot a 6.5 grendel but I've shot 6.5 creedmore and swiss between those theres very little difference.....like my friend six said you need to get some range time with your rifle, learn how the rifle acts & yourself act at different ranges....you need to test yourself, train with your weapon, go on a hike with yur rifle.
There are some moments when you only got a split second or few seconds to make a shot and having good Breath control is a must
ghost says it best.
@Izzy Say Whaat!? 👆 another thing to realize is to learn WHERE your going to hunt. Sometimes locals of that area have insights on the best approach and best of all ***never-stop-learning***
My uncle just broke his leg this morning... on the first day of his hunt. Feels bad.
damn bro, that sucks. My Papa did a similar thing recently. He is having such a hard time rn :( Hope your uncle heals well and quickly!
Aww man, hope your Papa gets better too.
@Aperfectghost You a jarhead?
Crayon eater
Lol
I thought it was funny af but also its true
Ok question should I sell my bolt action 6.5 creed and single shot 44mag for a lever action 6.5 or 308
(I live in Alabama which you rarely get shots over 300 yards)
Anybody know which has better stopping power
What application?
308 probably has more stopping power
but I doubt it will matter with most of the game in Alabama
and if you want my honest opinion, bolt guns are really no worse that lever gats in *most* applications.
if your intent on buying a lever action though, I assume you already have ammo for the 6.5?
The problem you'll run into with a lever gun is you're limited on projectile profiles
^very tru
You pretty much have to run a flat nose bullet
that or you will have to treat it like a single shot breachloading rifle if you want to fire spitzers.
They make plastic tip spitzer projectiles but they're uncommon
honestly, bolt guns are probably just better all-round. Lever guns are fun, but they really are 100 yard guns, maybe 200 because of the limited bullet choices.
There is a reason why in the late 1800s/ early 1900s, every major military on the planet switched to bolt-action rifles
It’s a mag fed lever gun
Is it that Browning BLR?
Henry long ranger
So that doesn’t matter
