what is the difference between 5.56 and .223?
The main difference is that 5.56 is loaded significantly hotter because they are mainly military rounds then 223 which is mainly a civilian round. That means an AR chambered in 5.56 can shoot 5.56 or 223 because they are close enough to the same size but a rifle chambered in 223 is not designed for the pressure of 5.55. In non 2020, this makes 223 usually cheaper to produce and there are lots of cheap imports you can get. 5.56 are usually the same rounds just without the extreme quality control and certifications of the military and are often even made in the same factories that produce ammo for the military. This makes them generally more expensive.
ah i see
so basically 5.56 is premium ammunition
If you plan to use an AR15 for self-defense it's worth it to get something like XM193 in 5.56. Its also probably worth it if your hunting larger animals or plan to shoot at longer ranges. For target practice or just fun shooting the cheaper 223 is usually sufficient.
David I couldn't of said it better than that ... P.O.B
👍
I assume .223 is sufficient to clear wildlife (that may or may not be disguised to resemble members of antifa) from streets?
should be good
excellent
I still need to buy a lead launcher, and fast
I'm in california and thus i might be forced to resort to more improvised methods
plus i may or may not have obtained a manual that may or may not exist that may or may not tell me in detail how to build a machinegun
I personally think semi is probably fine. no need to break the law :/
but that's just me
Idk how ppl live in such liberal areas like Cali. I plan on moving back to my home city soon. (Miami) but man it has gotten really liberal lately.
do ya'll think the dems will chill out if Trump wins again, just because there isnt really anything they can do to stop him from doing his thing for the next four years?
I really wish the second Amendment sanctuary interstate compact between southern states had moved forward rather then dying.
If Trump wins, they would absolutely try and impeach him again over something with this election.
That said, we have multiple other channels to talk general Trump, try and keep this channel at least tangentially related to guns.
aight will do David
could care less for the text tho
If it's for airsoft, do you still have to get a stamp? I'm going off the assumption it's a surpressor.
no, not technically. it's just a hollow pipe with end caps
you can make your own baffles out of cardboard, but in some places that would make it nfa
or nfa-like I should say
idrk how it works
ofc, it won't work on a real gun b/c its made of aluminum.
Is there a middle finger shaped suppressor? I need to trigger some people 🤣
oof
Probably going to do some shooting Friday. Get the Ak with those murderus 30 round magazines. Then get my 9mm out and get some more Practice with it still new to shooting pistols
i want a drum magazine for an AK
> Is there a middle finger shaped suppressor? I need to trigger some people 🤣
@Aperfectghost
I did see a Marine playing airsoft make a "suppressor" out of a purple dildo.
I need a Binary receiver for my AK
as a firearms noob you'll have to explain to me what that is
My Ar10 from rock river is pretty decent the only problem is Ar10 parts aren't as interchangeable as the 15s are. And yes I bought a 7.62 Ar and not an Ak. leave me to my ways
Binary triggers are a loophole to get closer to a full auto while still following the rules of being simi auto. An assault rifle fires multiple rounds for a single action of the trigger. To get around this, a binary trigger fires one round on pull of the trigger and another on reset/release.
ah i see
almost like a burst fire but not at the same time
