Right on the money
Anyone know a quality yet affordable AR-15 to have as a first gun?
An AR15 is a great platform but if this is your first gun (assuming you haven't shot before) I'd recommend a 22 first.
You can get a lot more training with a 22 for really cheap so you get proficient with guns.
Building one from parts can be fairly cheap...my 1st Ar build which looked like a Vietnam era M16 was about 500$
As David said training with .22 is good or since PCC are more prevalent might be a better choice especially if u plan to buy a handgun.
If your going to build an AR I suggest a PSA upper of your fav flavor, DPMS parts kit and a Lower from Andersons.
If your looking for a complete AR15 and you don't want to build one...lookup these up.
S&W M&P15
DPMS ORACLE
RUGER AR-556
Bit of advice, building a cheap AR sounds fun but in reality your asking “whats the cheapest way i can build something to reliably contain explosions right next to my face?”
Its better to buy a cheap AR than build one, youll have reliability issues rather than explosion issues
Also, clean your weapons kids
why is she holding it by the mag?
or is it bcs she knew it would probably explode
There holding by the magwell
I've held my Rifles like that but I'm in a sitting position
Doesn't the FAL have like a really short magwell? as in it doesnt really extend a lot from the gun itself?
huh wow
I did it lot with my m39 or FAL
Its more often for shorter lighter guns but its an effective holding spot for quick manuverability
I hold my AR by the magwell to swing it quick, by the grip for steady shooting
If you build an AR you can get it set up for you
And it’s pretty cheap
Not very hard either because they have jigs for it
Thats...what i did yes
We’ve milled all our lowers
I've done both
Like an 80%?
Yeah
Lowers are either milled or cast. Forged lowers are still milled.
Ah, mines an aero billet lower
Twas a special edition snek upper/lower combo
We usually just get ours as the general shape of an AR lower and mill out the holes and the whole inside of it
Billets are just as fine as forged. One is 6061 extruded, the other is 7075 forged.
Spikes, DPMS, Colt, Anderson's lowers
70% lowers...
I dont trust my machine work enough to do an 80% AR, an 80% glock id do tho but i dont like glocks
