I maintain that John M. Browning streamlined and revolutionized Colt's equality initiative.

Right on the money

2020-11-06 15:09:54 UTC

Anyone know a quality yet affordable AR-15 to have as a first gun?

2020-11-06 15:21:06 UTC

An AR15 is a great platform but if this is your first gun (assuming you haven't shot before) I'd recommend a 22 first.

2020-11-06 15:21:41 UTC

You can get a lot more training with a 22 for really cheap so you get proficient with guns.

2020-11-06 15:23:08 UTC

Building one from parts can be fairly cheap...my 1st Ar build which looked like a Vietnam era M16 was about 500$

2020-11-06 15:25:14 UTC

As David said training with .22 is good or since PCC are more prevalent might be a better choice especially if u plan to buy a handgun.

2020-11-06 15:30:07 UTC

If your going to build an AR I suggest a PSA upper of your fav flavor, DPMS parts kit and a Lower from Andersons.

2020-11-06 15:34:11 UTC

If your looking for a complete AR15 and you don't want to build one...lookup these up.

Bit of advice, building a cheap AR sounds fun but in reality your asking “whats the cheapest way i can build something to reliably contain explosions right next to my face?”

2020-11-06 16:34:17 UTC

Its better to buy a cheap AR than build one, youll have reliability issues rather than explosion issues

2020-11-06 16:35:05 UTC

Also, clean your weapons kids

2020-11-06 16:44:00 UTC

why is she holding it by the mag?

2020-11-06 16:44:11 UTC

or is it bcs she knew it would probably explode

2020-11-06 16:46:18 UTC

There holding by the magwell

2020-11-06 16:48:38 UTC

I've held my Rifles like that but I'm in a sitting position

2020-11-06 16:49:17 UTC

Doesn't the FAL have like a really short magwell? as in it doesnt really extend a lot from the gun itself?

2020-11-06 16:49:20 UTC

Alot of people hold by the mag

2020-11-06 16:49:24 UTC

huh wow

2020-11-06 16:49:58 UTC

I did it lot with my m39 or FAL

2020-11-06 16:50:05 UTC

Its more often for shorter lighter guns but its an effective holding spot for quick manuverability

2020-11-06 16:50:32 UTC

I hold my AR by the magwell to swing it quick, by the grip for steady shooting

2020-11-06 16:50:50 UTC

If you build an AR you can get it set up for you

2020-11-06 16:50:56 UTC

And it’s pretty cheap

2020-11-06 16:51:12 UTC

Not very hard either because they have jigs for it

2020-11-06 16:51:14 UTC

Thats...what i did yes

2020-11-06 16:51:23 UTC

We’ve milled all our lowers

2020-11-06 16:51:45 UTC

I've done both

2020-11-06 16:51:49 UTC

Like an 80%?

2020-11-06 16:51:56 UTC

Yeah

2020-11-06 16:52:01 UTC

Lowers are either milled or cast. Forged lowers are still milled.

2020-11-06 16:52:24 UTC

Ah, mines an aero billet lower

2020-11-06 16:52:55 UTC

Twas a special edition snek upper/lower combo

2020-11-06 16:53:00 UTC

We usually just get ours as the general shape of an AR lower and mill out the holes and the whole inside of it

2020-11-06 16:53:24 UTC

Billets are just as fine as forged. One is 6061 extruded, the other is 7075 forged.

2020-11-06 16:53:30 UTC

Spikes, DPMS, Colt, Anderson's lowers
