What’s the best way to get a rifle? Also cheapest? AK or AR? Private sales or shop or build? Any suggestions for a 500ish budget?
Shop AK and AR, both usually are in the lower 400's sometimes
My cousin found a Palmetto state AR for $397
That's pretty good
I got a Springfield Saint in FDE personally from Sportsmans for $800
Bit pricey, but it's accurate as hell
Dang @PantherUnit01
Thanks for the info
Anyone got a favorite online place to look?
Cheaper than dirt has 556 rounds in stock who knows for how long
Cheaper than dirt also price gauges
Question. Is the 8.5mm still a common round?
not to my knowledge no
Okay.
You'll see why in a little
Speaking of 8.5 french, What if we modified it to use smokeless powder and make it rimless?
Which one?
Also here's the gun.
The French 8.5mm French Lebelle
I liked this gun in BF1
Same
now that i think about it
I wouldn't say same but as a BF1 player it's hard to disagree
When its ejecting spent cases it kinda does remind me of the Desert Eagle
The proto-desert eagle
And lighter
if you get something from PSA, go with an AK build; their AR's tend to be over-gassed (gas tube holes slightly oversized). You can pick up a $20-ish adjustable gas block, if you can find it.
AKs tend to last longer than ARs when over-gassed.
Haha pure genius
@Equalibrium thanks, will look for that
Government is going to give you 250$ for a 2000$ rifle and call it a “buyback”
Exactly
It ‘devalued’
Better not touch my $3000 AR <:Greta:720119386668531763>
Or i shall be forced to teach them the dangers of being on the wrong end of a loaded firearm
Was a 3k AR worth it? Why not just spend 1k or less? I have no experience with rifles FYI
I gots a question
What bolt action rifle should I get as my first?
22
3k AR is built like a tank, pistol brace, silencer, all high-quality parts
