While a biased video I can agree to an extent, the point of the second amendment is to protect ourselves from threats, foreign and domestic because this is mine and not yours.

However even thou I rent because I'm in college, I pay for this 550 square foot area and will defend it as my property.

I already have Castle doctrine and stand your ground but hopefully that protection will be extended by the proposed laws in my state to allow you to defend your property from threats.

My concealed carry instructor who is a local prosecutor, said that with castle doctrine, he would not push to prosecute any store owner who shot in self-defense.

^ that's generally the case

obviously there's rules surrounding that like you can't shoot someone fleeing etc

DA will do their due diligence and investigate but for a shop I highly recommend having cameras on premises for evidence purposes

Tennessee has good defensive gun protections on the books and the area I'm in for college I feel pretty confident I'd get a fair trial if it came to that, particularly when about 2/3 of people in the city have a carry permit and I can count on a single hand the places posted. However, less so if after college I move back to Memphis because I can't find a job. Most of the city is posted and is not very gun friendly.
